Thought lanzini and Antonio looked good, baffling to take off Antonio.
No surprise fullbacks were poor
Next game can’t come soon enough

We missed Mark Noble .

City are fantastic . I don’t want this to be knee jerk, but our fitness looks poor, and Rice, Diop, Creswell, and Wilshere were poor. Only Haller and Fredericks come out with any credit. Lanzini was ok but really were a lot of strength training. We should put that into his contract. Also, we desperately missed Noble.

No guts, no commitment, no plan b - a disaster all round today.

Man City are f*cking boring.
VAR is so f*cking rank.
Mike Dean is a f*cking bell.
I genuinely can’t believe Cresswell is still a PL footballer.
I also can’t believe we didn’t go for someone to play next to Rice (and I rate Wilshere!)
The whole defence looking pretty poor the whole game. Need to sharpen up quickly.

Once again our problem is the midfield. Wilshire is not strong or aggressive enough to command and control our midfield. Taking Antonio off was a mistake as we need to bully these teams with almost unlimited resources. I'm really starting to fvkn hate Man City but I guess it's just our annual reality check.

Terrible performance. Hard to compete with a team that has basically got 200 points in the last 2 seasons and have won 15 games in a row though.
Season begins next week.

Christ...started off promising but that second half.
Rice non existent, Diop was pitifully bad....it goes on.
Said it all summer we needed reinforcements defensively as Fab saved us at least 15 points last season.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Premier League football died for me years ago. It's now getting to the stage where I can't even be bothered to watch it on TV.61dicksey wrote:Football was destroyed way before VAR but i think it is the torpedo that kills those treading water
With the introduction of VAR, I see little point in going to watch matches live, outside of the social aspect with your mates. The prices keep going up, you get told to sit down and then any interesting piece of action gets referred to a VAR judge before you can confirm that it actually happened and celebrate it.
If you're still interested in this shadow of a sport then you might as well sit at home and watch a stream on the internet.
The only bright side today is that Liverpool aren't top. Though I, like many others it seems, are starting to despise Citeh just as much.
There will be 3 worse teams than us this season.

Stunned into silence i think or just expecting it and resigned.
i thought we were pretty poor in lots of aspects but the effort fell off a cliff after 1-0

What’s changed then? Sweet FA
Fabianski’s distribution is hopeless
We can’t defend
We can’t take a throw in
We’re gutless without Noble
Antonio cant play in the Andy Carroll role
Cresswell is a liability
Lanzini is a lightweight
Anderson gave up and bottled himself off the pitch
Admittedly it’s not really a fair barometer against this lot as they’re a leagues above everyone else but even so, a bit more fight would have been nice.
We’re mid table, nothing more.

No 'Warrior' in midfield then take of Antonio our main warrior & leave a powder puff core, shout out to Snodders, who is a warrior (but slow)

I know it’s City but that is a massive reality check for everyone at the club. I can’t see Wolves or Leicester rolling over for them like that.
