I like Snodders, he's got a big heart & he does try.
However, I'm really not a fan of his corners. They come in & seem to drop at a really steep angle. They might be difficult to defend but they seem equally, if not more, difficult to attack.

Literally ranked No 1 (ie the best) for assists and key passes out of our entire squad last season.
I wish we had a few more “triers” like that. ^^^
We are overloaded with tippy-tappy, so-called creative lightweights that really aren’t actually all that creative....

Masuaku and Antonio in for Anderson at LW and Haller at CF. Fornals comes in on the right.

I genuinely think it might be!
He seems to vaguely echo others opinions, the transfer lists are the same names on a loop with new ones coming from other suggestions.
And his opinions tend to sway with the forum as well.

It's got 2-0 Brighton written all over it. They will continue their good start and we will huff and puff but not have any ideas what to do in the final 3rd. They will have two chances and take them both.

The negativity seems a bit of an overreaction. I think we'll get a nice away point on the board here, 1-1.

Re: ⚽ Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United: Match Thread
how about we be positive and get behind the team. I will be there for my first away game for years as not a STH. unfortuanetly in the home end which is annoying.
hoping for a good performance from team and fans. I know the fans will turn up but will we ?
If haller is out then I think it will be Antonio up top although I would like to see ajeti. one thing for sure we cannot start Hernandez up top on his own.
Johnson or masuaka in for cresswell and our defence is instantly better !
Anderson offered little last week and in pre season so fornals in for him maybe
COYI lets do these "£$%^&

Are you on a wind up? You’ve been nothing but negative all week, over a number of threads.hammerman11 wrote:how about we be positive and get behind the team.
Re: ⚽ Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United: Match Thread
For me, I'm less concerned as to who starts, I'll be happy if the team is able to identify where Brighton's usual threats are going to coming from and nullify them. I don't want to see a repeat of last season where Brighton ran unopposed down the side before releasing an early cross for Murray to score. We should be comfortably dealing with these sorts of simple threats if our Wingers can be bothered with their positioning.
We've got the quality to create those goal scoring opportunities but it doesn't mean we need to have half the team take a starting position over the half way line. I want to see us defend as a team, snuff out their attacks/dispossess them in defense before transitioning on attack.

Irrespective of what happens up the pitch we need our centre backs to stand up to Brighton and win the physical battles. We looked susceptible against physical forwards last season imo.

Re: ⚽ Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United: Match Thread
Brighton now set up very differently to last season. Graham Potter is known for his attacking football.
That said, they do have three fairly lumbering CBs in their new formation so we need to get at them on the floor and play between the lines to disrupt their system.
I would play Hernandez if Haller is not fit (and might even consider it if he was) well supported by whoever is chosen in the other attacking spots. We need someone with good movement who will stretch the centre backs and who knows where the goal is

There is no way are we keeping a clean sheet against this lot.S-H wrote:0-3 to the mighty Hammers.
I've already said I think we will lose to this lot but putting my positive head on I say 3-2 to West Ham.

The voices in my head are telling me we have a chance of balancing our goal difference this weekend.
Re: ⚽ Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United: Match Thread
I hope Haller is fit - had a bet on him scoring this weekend!!!
I still think we have enough attacking options to get a result though given that's where Pelle has invested most....
