Thats not true, check the facts.
Haller missed 8 games last season between april and may with a muscle problem.

Weird line up for this game, hope Pellers gets it right this time

Murray starts for them. I can't believe the sight of someone as bang average as him absolutely terrifies me.

We are going to need to be great in possession because we'll probably be second best in many other respects.

Haller, Anderson, Antonio (and the loaned out Diangana) is almost all the pace and presence in the front 4 absent.

Thankfully Izquerido is missing for them.

Very odd starting XI. I think Pellegrini is sending a message dropping Balbuena, Antonio and Cresswell who isn’t even in the XVIII. I have no idea how this will play out, but hopefully with Fornals, Wilshere, Lanzini and Masuaku, we will keep the ball a lot better. Noble, Haller and Anderson will be big losses.

That's supposed to be the idea of a typical Pellegrini team to keep it on the deck as much as possible.

Looks to be a 433 as I'd hoped to be more solid defensively if that's the team. Just what I wanted to see.

I meant to say hold the ball up, but said play by mistake. The point still stands. And like I already said, Haller and others are clearly better than others at doing it, it's just not the be all and end all as there are just as other effective easy on the eye ways of playing with quick 1, 2 touch passing when he receives the ball. I'm certainly not one to panic thinking that's our game plans out the window. I'm actually excited to see us play this way, just as much as the Haller way holding it up with strength.

Wilshere, Lanzini, Fornals in midfield, plus Hernandez up front, ridiculously lightweight, will get brushed aside. Hernandez can’t play alone up front. Ogbonna plays, and captain? WTF?! Does Pellers make captain the player most likely to be dropped next? Team is poor, £5 on Brighton 3-1 may make you £70 better off by 5pm today... Beginning to seriously question Pellers tactical nous, love to be woefully wrong.

It's no surprise to me, tbh, I would've dropped Balbuena today, pretty awful last week, I thought
I wouldn't say awful, he made one bad error when he bizarrely charged at De Bruyne, letting him go past him, for one of their goals. Diop looked the bigger liability- no one in the defense had a good game, even Fabianski.

I think it'll look like this-

---------Rice
-----------------Wilshere
------------Snodgrass
---Fornals--------------Lanzini
--------------Hernandez

With some slow build up play it can work. I wouldn't have minded seeing Yarm starting this one.

Not much width in that line up. Let's hope tippy tappy football wins the game for us with Hernandez finishing off a couple of sparkling moves!!

Hopefully it'll raise his game to concentrate more. I also notice Cresswell the previous Captain of late isn't even on the bench, so he must have picked up an injury in training. As for Balbuena, he's not looked at the races even during Pre season, so not so much a shock to me. He's played a lot of football in Copa off the back of debut PL season, so he probably needs to recharge the batteries both physically and mentally, I'd wonder.

Weird looking starting 11.
I take it Cresswell is injured ?
Captain one game, not in the squad for the next one.
The lack of leadership in the squad is a concern, after Noble do we have vice captain?
Ogbonna doesn’t come across as a vocal player.

The idea is to pass them to death and be clinical.

Mark Noble just said 2 forced changes. Starting with the likes of Snodgrass just shows that we have not progressed - can’t fault his effort but he is definitely more quantity than quality.

I’d rather Yarma in the team for sheer strength. We look lightweight, and our defence could be tested severely.

New season, same line-up save for 1 player as last season. Same old same regarding WHU and Injured players.

3-1 Brighton & HA.

But as has been pointed out, we’re concerned by Glenn Murray. If he chases down and harries for the ball in the way he can, that could make a difference.

Like I said, I’d rather Yarma on the wing and Antonio up top.
