Re: Little things that irritate you
Turned on Radio 4 today and there was a woman basically echoing my views on modern music. I found myself agreeing with almost everything she said about modern music and how there's no originality and it's all about image.
Turns out it was Lily Allen
I feel violated.

Are the farmers cutting sileage now (used to be July down west) ? That is a prime trigger for hayfever, which it sounds like you've got.The Old Man of Storr wrote:I've come down with yet another bout of sneezing and runny nose .

Sileage or rapeseed does it for me... absolute nightmare. Constant sneezing and running nose. Eyes stinging too sometimes. Funny thing is, I never had hay fever until I moved to Kent.vietnammer wrote:Are the farmers cutting sileage now (used to be July down west) ? Can Hay fever affect you even if you're not leaving the house - it began to affect me as soon as we got back to Skye in June and I wasn't really going out much at all ?
I've never suffered from hay fever before .
However , the more I thought about it the more it seemed like hay fever as this ' cold ' went on for weeks - then I had to go to hospital for 15 days where I was treated with 3 different types of antibiotics followed by another 7 days of oral antibiotics when I got home .
Got to Elgin on Monday night , ok Tuesday then Wednesday morning I couldn't stop sneezing and my rose is running faster than Usain Bolt . Went through 2 rolls of toilet tissue [ on my nose ] feeling right miserable .
Do antibiotics lower your immune system that much , it's been over a month since I left hospital , can't remember having this many colds before - my boy turns round to me yesterday and says [ quite seriously ] 'I think you might have AIDS , Dad ' to which Jennie replies ' Oh no , he was given an AIDS test while he was in hospital ' .
They're the ones who are suppose to cheer me up .

Re: Little things that irritate you
That sounds like hay fever to me. Certainly were my symptoms this morning. Was really bad. Simple test is to pop an antihistamine (sp?) tablet and see what happens. If it stops shortly afterwards then it's a fair assumption it's either hay fever or some sort of allergic reaction (pet hairs being the usual culprit). The Old Man of Storr wrote:Got to Elgin on Monday night , ok Tuesday then Wednesday morning I couldn't stop sneezing and my rose is running faster than Usain Bolt . I think things have changed somewhat. I work different hours some weeks and sometimes have weeks where i actually receive a refund of tax previously paid.
