Re: the New kits thread
the 3rd kits should not be available to purchase , people need to wise up to this blatant merchandise exploitation by clubs

not wrong can not see the need for a 3rd kit
Re: the New kits thread
Should only be 2 kits, and the away kit should be the inverse of of the home hit. Then it can be mixed and matched.
We used to generally have claret+blue shirts white shorts and white socks, and away was white shirts sky blue shorts and sky blue socks. That should be it. If we wanted to go all sky blue or have white shirts with claret shorts and socks then so be it.
Anything else is a waste of time.
PL would never sanction it but that leaves it so simple and there will never be a clash. Where would we wear a dark blue kit when we couldn't wear claret ?

Re: the New kits thread
I like the NFL idea where one shirt has to be predominantly white and trimmed with the main colours.
For teams for whom their main colours are white (e.g. Spurs, Leeds, Derby) no problem, because everyone else then plays against them in their home kit.
All the others have white as their away kit. I can't think of anyone whose colours are close enough to white that they'd clash, and for team in stripes, then plain white won't clash either.

Re: the New kits thread
Didn't Everton have to wear their third kit from last season against Palace because their home and away for this season both clashed and they hadn't yet released their third kit for this season?cockney hammer wrote:not wrong can not see the need for a 3rd kit
Don't forget, clubs barely make anything from shirt sales - the real beneficiaries of kit sales are the kit manufacturers themselves.

Re: the New kits thread
The collar on that Chelsea one is awful from a design perspective.
I really like the style of that Spurs one, just the patterning on the shirt itself is rank.
