Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes
... but not good news for my lot - Kent. Currently the forecast looks like we'll get about a day and a half's play. If so we'll be pipped for third by Hants, that's assuming Yorkshire are affected by rain too.
Anyway, it's been a decent season for Kent. They blew it in the T20 having been in the box-seat for so long but really grew into the championship as the season went on. I thought the batting line up would struggle in the top league - it wasn't brilliant in division two - the bowlers pretty much got them promoted - but Kent have picked up as many batting points as any so what do I know.

It is amazing how many Essex Members are also West Ham STH's. I spend a lot of time talking about West Ham when I'm at Chelmsford.

Anyone know a pub (preferably in the Hornchurch area) that’s showing all of the Essex matches today? Seems like most places will obviously be showing the premier league matches.
Please and thanks in advance!

Essex in to the final, spin all the way. Harmer bowled some lovely stuff.
Not a great pitch for finals day though. Might perk up under lights later.

Is it? West Ham belongs to Essex for historical county purposes.clawhammer wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 4:40 pm It is amazing how many Essex Members are also West Ham STH's. I spend a lot of time talking about West Ham when I'm at Chelmsford.

First time in any T20 innings anywhere that more than five wickets have been taken by spin.

Great stuff from Essex
Now for the double with the county championship
It’s like the glory days of the 80’s & early 90’s

For what some perceive as a dull and boring sport, this summers output has caused my blood pressure to argue to the contrary. Fantastic finish by Essex yesterday, thought we were gone midway through that final innings.
