****ing embarrassing. Blame lies firmly at the manager's door for this debacle. Too many changes. Probably won't make any difference to the result against Bournemouth, they'll probably wallop us as well. Same old West Ham, Taking The Piss never sounded more apt than right now.

Let's all laugh at Tottenham,
At least Colchester parked the bus and ground out a result, we got taught a lesson again, this club is a pathetic embarrassment

It’s almost 4 years since we’ve had any semblance of respectability in cup competitions. But again, this decade has just been an abject disaster across all of them, and I think tonight sums it up.
Losing, bad. Losing 4-0 an abomination which warrants an apology. But it also shows just what problems we have below our first team. We can’t afford injuries, and this is an example of why we will not only need to improve our starting 11 over the next year, but actually rebuild our squad.

The line up was weaker than I was expecting but we had three of last seasons regular back four playing.
We also went from 2-0 to 4-0 with Haller, Anderson, Fornals, Diop and Noble on the pitch.
Every singe outfield player bar two has played in the Premier League this season
Personally I think it is as much about preparation, mindset and attitude as much as the actual players selected. Both first teamers and reserves have a real problem raising themselves for games against lesser opposition or where the expectation is to win

May as well write the FA Cup off as well mate. We'll probably draw Man City in the 3rd Round.Colours never run wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 9:40 pm I've never understood widespread changes, especially a Team in form. 2 or 3 changes, sure but not practically a new team who in a short space of time is expected to gel. Yes, individually we'd be a better outfit still but football never works like that and it's always about a Team and continuity with it that works best. Comes across as arrogant too when Teams do it, like it almost doesnt matter who we put out, we should walk it.
We're used to this ****, time and time again regardless of personnel and management. And I won't lie, Pellegrini has a big flaw when it comes to Cup competitions with us to date which simply ain't good enough. He along with the players deserve the criticism heading their way. Still generally live him though. I don't want to see a repeat in the FA Cup again.

Sorry, but I'm not that bothered. **** result. This is normal.

There will be sound bites from the camp tomorrow. The only one I want to hear is a profuse apology!
The rest will make me vomit!

Cannot see the point in making so many changes, clearly does not work and now confidence of the squad dented. Surely better to play a full strength team (they could also have lost though) and have them a little tired than now having a few who will start down on confidence, for the sake of a one league game which again they may or may not win.

Not seen it, but if a team goes for 4 v Oxford having conceded just 2 in it's last 5 PL games - you have to question the attitude and desire.
.
Modern football means not giving a toss about the cups. They just don't pay enough money.

"Spurs knocked out by lower league team on penalties. Most embarrassing result of the season?"
West Ham - "Hold my beer"
Sure that's been posted elsewhere but that was my first thought when I saw the result

Yep, embarrassing, pathetic, but given our history, is it that surprising?
Same as it ever was.

This is actually worse than anything served up by Big Sam, Bilic or Moyes. The biggest spanking handed out by Oxford since the 1933 boat race!
