Plenty of poor keepers who have made good careers as back ups at decent clubs.
Not saying he is poor for clarification.
I imagine he will be much the same as Adrian at Liverpool, few shaky appearances, and then settle into it.
True, but he has made over 300 appearances in his career, so it’s not like he’s never been first choice.
Admittedly often in poorer leagues, but usually for one of the top teams.

as long as he clears the ball I don't care if he puts it in the stands in the opposition half. I hope he doesn't try all this playing out from the back as you know he will come unstuck. as good as he is fabianski wasn't good at that side of things either. if in doubt boot it out !

It's a bit of a show stopper if they have to keep running into the stands to receive the ball........!!
Haha yeah. Although the bigger concern were those which didn’t cross the half way line or were completely misdirected.

We're gonna have to put our trust in him for a bit, I know he's not great, but this still shouldn't be the be all and end all of our getting results over the period of Fabs absence

No. This is the new, improved, Pellegrini inspired West Ham.
He’s been written off after after 2.5 games

What's all the fuss about? If Roberto doesn't cut the mustard, we have a bloke who has played for MK Dons and Millwall to come in.

I should re-phrase that. 1 bad game.

Here's hoping he plays a lot better than what he's previously showed. The save he made by staying big against Bournemouth is a good start, but he's going to have to show consistency now, if we are to sustain our good form. I'm choosing to remain positive and think he'll rise to the challenge as we maintain our good start in the League.

He had a bad game against Oxford, so did everyone else.
Newport he made some good saves, and was important for the point at Bournemouth.
I think he'll be just fine, no worse than Adrian.

Someone needs to remove the broom he seems to have up his back.

wears the shirt so deserves 100% support. no booing of him as it does no good. clean sheet on Saturday will help !
may buck the defence up and make the attackers take their chances.
fingers crossed he does well.

Booing anyone is ****ing ridiculous...your own player...absolutely pathetic
compare it to Liverpool on the first day of the season when allyson got injured and adrian came on...the whole ground welcomed him and cheered him on...undoubtedly will have given him more confidence

He looks like the lead protagonist from a 1980s side-scrolling beat-'em-up. Roberto is alright in my book

He's a better keeper than Hugo Lloris from what I've seen.
Did everyone see the howler he let in at the weekend? Mental.

I don't think I've seen a West Ham player so quickly written off on here and I'm assuming most haven't seen him play more than 60 competitive mins in a WHUFC shirt.
