TOMS agreed. I have to say that this season its been a bit of an effort to go the 3 miles from my home to the OS (away games are a different matter), not so much because of the quality of football, although thats been bad enough, but the lack of atmosphere at the OS, three years wandering around a desolate park etc. So given all the shenanigans over at Spurs and the media attention on this game, I really think its going to be a great atmosphere tomorrow (despite the 12.30 kick-off), and our players are therefore going to be up for it - they certainly have the potential just not showed it this season.

no his exact last words were found by archaeologists excavating in a cave nearby the Little Big Horn in the 19th century seeing wall etchings:
3 fishes with halos
2 eyes
native americans fornicating
roughly translated to:
Holy mackerel, look at those f**king indians !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Patito, you are 100% on this.
We can get a shoeing this afternoon, but we’ll get over it soon enough!

It’s the only crumb of comfort I’ve got for this one.pablo jaye wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 5:44 am Patito, you are 100% on this.

No, there were no gays in those days. It's a historical fact.

I fear a 0 - 5 spanking today
We just have a terrible team with an uninspiring past it manager
And even worse owners
These owners haven´t progressed us in the 10 years tehy have been here, they need to get the f*** out and sell us to someone "PRPER" ASAP !!!

My whole day revolves around the announcement Roberto starts. We cannot keep less than 3 goals with him at the controls

First goal is more important than ever today.
I’d wanna keep the game as tight as possible, the more open the game the worse for us.
He won’t play 3 at the back so I’d start Sanchez alongside Rice.
And bring back Ogbonna.

I don't fear a 0-5 scoreline I expect it
The team is not terrible, we've hit a bad run of form, we're probably pretty unbalanced but we have more than enough to be doing better. Pellegrini needs to be the one who turns it round - he did so at the start of last season, he can again.
The owners are all hunters from Berkshire. We haven't progressed, we've regressed and then got back and regressed again - on the pitch. Off the pitch the finances are better than they were but it's all being funnelled into their gullets, the stadium is a soulless ****hole, their fan engagement is laughable etc.
If we don't lose there will be a lot of pessimists on here (me included) who will be very happy. That said it's West Ham, may as well toss a coin...

'Kin help. The negativity on here. Is there any point in playing this game? Let's just default the match to Spuds with a 0-3 and save everyone the purgatory of sitting through it.

f*** me. If Sanchez is the answer you've come up with I'd go and look at the question again.Brown Sauce wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 8:56 am He won’t play 3 at the back so I’d start Sanchez alongside Rice.

He must be the only player in our squad capable of competing with Roberto for the usually hotly contested worst player award. Just watch his every involvement against Oxford, they made him look out of his depth, what do you think this lot would do to him.

We don’t have many other options.
Aside from Rice, Sanchez is the only defensively minded midfielder we have.
I’m not looking for him to be Pirlo, just break the game up and give it simple.
We concede too many goals, so how do we fix that?

Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019
Today is only going to be about the "special one". Every media outlet will be focused upon him.
Spurs win and the special one hits the ground running. We draw, a good result for all as the special one rules the roost over his squad. We win and the special one is getting to know his squad and where each player is best suited. You will not hear a word about West Ham today from the media.
I expect a hard fought draw today. Just need to keep the ball away from our keeper. If I was Spurs I would want to test the keeper early, long range shots, balls punted into the box, corners into the six yard box and all other cliches you can think of to test our keeper.
We need to be quicker in moving the ball instead of all this slow sideways, backwards passing. And provide more support for Haller.

Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019
Today I've been left to the stark choice of
1) Watching the football and witness us getting stuffed
or
2) Going out to make a wooden reindeer with my little 'un in the freezing cold, getting numb fingers and having other screaming kids in my vacinity.
For the good of my health, I've reluctantly chosen 2.
FML.

Lol
I think there are quite a few with a similar predicament today.

I am happy Antonio is back, the leagues most versatile player. He has played everywhere on the field but as a goalkeeper. Might be time for that today ... Sure he would jump higher.
