Fabianski joined on 20th June 2018, those negotiations to sign Roberto must have been extremely brief.

Roberto is NOT the (main) problem...

I recon hes not that good as I thought and also not world beater, BUT we have other urgent positions to cover up...

Mostly the MF.

PS: By the way, I still did not understand whats was in Pelle minds not went for someone like Gerónimo Rulli (now in Montpellier from Real Sociedad) on loan instead Roberto... :arry:

Basically our keeper our player of the season who also made most saves in league covers for a poor defence now we haven’t got him keeping the ball out, roberto is now the keeper getting same amount of shots but he’s a much lower standard than fab. Burnley and Newcastle could of easily hit us for 6 with the amount of chances

I think we may well be hit for 6 in the next few games. Chelsea away worries me a lot. young fit hungry team bang on form with loads of movement against the west ham strollers with flapper in goal ! If we excape with just a 3-0 defeat we will be lucky.

spurs - 0-3
Chelsea 0-5
wolves 0-3
arsenal 1-4

could be a rough few weeks until they finish off dead man alive Pellegrini !

The defence need to protect Roberto more, for corners v Burnley they had a player on him leaning and pushing him wasn't until the 2nd someone got inbetween them and they still pushed Roberto over

Last thing needed is the crowd on his back early doors Saturday

Mervyn Mervyn on your line, didn't help Merv back then and the crowd were right on top of him

If you work in an office and they employ some bloke who can’t open Microsoft Word without starting a fire, is it your fault that the boss has employed him?

I keep seeing stuff about the defence being at fault, yet it’s the same lads who’d lost 2 games all season before Manuel went in goal.

The thing is though Fab was an anomaly, with him in goal we were massively defying the stats as he was that good, now we've almost reverted to what we should be conceding without Fab working miracles in net, not saying Roberto is good by any stretch but the indications have been there for ages, we concede far too many shots and high-risk ones at that.

This guy shouldn’t ever play for us again.

His confidence in himself has clearly gone as has any confidence the defence has in him.

He’s making ridiculous errors, okay he makes some good saves when we already 2 or 3 goals down and the game is lost but that’s just because the pressure is off at that point.

Martin should be given the gloves until Fabianski is back, if Roberto plays the next game it just shows how stubborn Pellegrini is.

Say what you see....

I think he is the worst goalkeeper I have ever seen in my life. There is something wrong with his wrists.

Name a worse one that played in top 2 divisions ?

his decision making is comical , I've never seen anything like it . the punching on everything today was farcical , im surprised he wasn't put under more pressure from spurs tbh

He looked useless from the first pre season game he played and has not improved.

The only light at the end of tunnel is that Fab should be back soon, but those clowns at top better get a decent number 2 in January as this guy is finished.

Exactly this. With Fabianski in goal on last seasons form we'd have won or at least drawn today and the same with Palace and no doubt other games too.

Just goes to show how f*cking good Fabianski is at football. Best keeper in the league IMO. Yet many weren’t fussed when we signed him and some still thought Adrian was better.
