all we needed to do was increase capacity at the Boleyn to 45-50k . redevelop the east stand as we now know there were no height restrictions etc and it could have been done.

we would still have attracted players to our team and the level of spending would be about the same.
Bournemouth are competitive on 12k gates and don't spend that much although it is usually more than us !

we would have had a tight intimidating ground with fans close to the pitch. we would have had our history, stallholders, local pubs, supporters clubs etc.
we would have had atmosphere on and off the field.
we have been a poor to middle team most of the time and nothing has changed in the 3 years at the bowl. what has changed is that we have no history, no soul, no atmosphere and no identity.

cant see it changing anytime quick.
Not moving would have meant that Gold and Sullivan's pockets would be just a little bit more empty.

But people said in response to the moans about the Stop/Go boards on the way to Stratford "go to Hackney Wick its no problem."

I’m still yet to see the reason for the move.
So far it’s offered little or no financial benefit.
It’s upsetting many supporters.
Our results on the pitch haven’t improved.

Is there some long term benefit I’m missing?

Major trip hazard there. Should shut the place down. Where's the health and safety inspectors?
You know the ones who said beer shelves were unsafe, the ones next to trip hazards.

The owners wanted a new, big, shiny, high profile stadium for free [or nearly free]
There is nothing more to it than that

It's over we're not West Ham anymore

Glad I packed it in hate the place, 1 game since May 17

Tottenham have won three consecutive away league games against West Ham for the first time in their history.

Steward today in the BML decided to offer out the whole of the BML stating “I’ll take you all on at Stratford”.

All he was doing was asking people to get out the aisle.

World class. :arry:

Possibly. I was right by it. The steward obviously said something, not sure what, but it riled a lot of people.

Did leave me a bit opened mouth when he offered everyone out stating that he would “see you all at Stratford after the game”

Today’s search experience.

Steward found my friend’s metal refillable water bottle and questioned it. Called over supervisor who said it was OK to take it as it as my friend owned it so wouldn’t throw it. Friend suggested that stewards should have been made aware that it was OK to bring these in. Supervisor said he was correct to query as it was ‘a can’.

I walked straight past two stewards without being searched at all, in view of supervisor.

The inconsistency is shocking... When we went through it was as thorough as I’ve ever seen it, full on pat down all over...

Not that I mind that, but why so different at different times/bridges?!

Possibly all part of being a deterrent. You never know where & when it might happen.

Just out of interest... Should the inevitable happen and we go down what is the capacity of the lower tiers? Can't see them opening the whole stadium in the Championship

yep i noted a few supporters of dubious origin also yesterday ......

prior to kick off i was by the tunnel entrance, noted the group of supporters around the away dug out , they was soon rewarded with danny rose and serge aurier or what ever his name is autographs , and finaly mourinhio gave em a few autographs , i just found it odd,and questioned whether they was actual hammers, neautrals ,tourists or god forbid spurs supporters

i was in block 111, and a woman and her son infront of me seemed quite interested in the away end i noted to begin with,
then i saw her video kanes celebration , and to top it all ,at full time i stayed put for a few minuetes and saw her again video the spuds celebrate with players/fans , and there were other supporters of dubious origin aswell around the same area .
