"Bum Daddies" - The Manor Arms - Been done out, but still has "character", great bar staff, top prices ( 3 quality beers for about £10 ish), close a little early than what I'm used to (That said it's open at 9 AM) - quality Guinness and a top juke box. Mushy - I'm looking at you mate

The Ladies Mile, Brighton.
Redhead barmaid back on duty. Turns out she's 19. Feeling more than a bit pervy now.

Already licking my lips, can't beat a decent Juke box.
We must also visit The North Star in Leytonstone.
Proper boozer.

The Coat and Badge and the Half Moon pubs in Putney last night.
Good craft draughts on, no special cask beers on though.
Had a Neck Oil (fantastic), Young's Special (OK) and Camden Pale (fizzy pale ale).
Not as good as the Bricklayer's around the corner!

Not surprised being Camden. Shame really, that was a proper traditional pub back in the day.
That really is a good beer isn't it? I remember I got a can from M&S and when I opened it, the smell of hops just hit me and I thought it was going to be one of them rancid West Cost IPA type beers but it really isn't. I really like it.

The Half Moon - a Wetherspoons pub near Stepney Green station.
I went in here with a bunch of people who had just presented a history lecture relating to a political incident I was involved with at a very young age. I took a mate who was with me who's a bit posh. He was amazed at the size and the décor of this Wetherspoons, but I told him not to get careless as it is still rough and a bit dodgy.
We stayed in there all night with him drinking Doombar (Bloody Lovely) and, unusually for me, I went for Hop house 13. It usually is a bit too hoppy for me, but that night it was just right - I really enjoyed. And 3 pints for under £10 - yes please!
We had a great night, until we had to leave. My mate went to get his coat that he had hung up and some scrote had stolen it. Luckily enough he had nothing in his pockets.

The Phoenix, Cavendish Sq.
Possibly one of the best boozers I've been in for a long while.
Nice atmosphere, nice beer (California Pale Ale)
9/10

The Draft House - Camden - Nice newish boozer with an old school feel. A decent selection of beer - ales, in keg and cask - very good staff, excellent music and a lovely vibe. The PUNK IPA went down a treat and was very drinkable. The negatives : My mate had a cask ale that was off and sent it back and at £5:80 a pint around for two costs more than an hours labour for anyone on minimum wage. Yeah it is in Camden, I know but it's still a bit OTT.
The Black Heart Camden - Same prices, different beer. Some something more larger-y than bitter, which has my approval. Top staff, very chilled out although the wooden seating with no padding was a bit hash on the Harris after a while. Very chilled out about taking beer up to the gig area. Negatives: only canned beer on sale upstairs at extortionate prices, necessitating a trip downstairs to get drink on a few occasions.

The Good Samaritans - Whitechapel - Been in here quite a bit, as it is my mates local, but tonight was an old school mates from the East End bit of a pre Xmas booze up ( lots of people have commitments in Dec so we have it in Nov). I was on the rose' as I had a beer the pervious night, so took it easy and have to drive tomorrow late on in the day. What I did notice in my relative sobriety is that A) they had a young (very young!) girl alone in charge of the bar who couldn't change the heating in the pub (It was f'in boiling - people were bathed in sweat) B) she couldn't operate the coffee machine (I know, I know - but a mate had driven 2 hours to get there and wasn't drinking) and apart from serving drinks pretty badly, she couldn't do much else. If it had all gone tits up - and given some of the people there it was quite possible - she would have ben right out of her depth to deal with it.
Also after a bought a mate a drink after the rounds had finished (They were £35+ a pop) I saw that they were charging £5,40 for a pint draught Pirroni - in f'in Whitechapel!! Piss takers!
Rose' was vegan and lovely btw! Cue lots of piss taking from my mates.

Owl and Pussycat, Shoreditch yesterday afternoon.
£6 and 5 pence for a Camden Pale Ale!!! Great pork roast, but that much for a pint of beer these days is ludicrous!
Ten Bells around the corner was good though. Truman's Pale and a pint of Wibble went down very smoothly.

Slug & Lettuce.
Full of pretty young ladies, but hard to get to the bar.
The bar access is a deal breaker for me.

f*** that. I'd refuse to drink in a pub that was charging that. That's a pretty average pint as well.

That's Shoreditch. I preferred it when it was a karsi and people were too scared to venture north of Appold Street.

^ And all you needed was a pocketful of pound coins and you could enjoy some tits with your cheap, watery pint.

We used to do an afternoon of live art galleries.
White Horse, Rainbow Sports Bar, Browns, Ye Old Axe (my particular favourite as a true Vicrorian East End boozer ), Images and capping it off with Metropolis.

Went for lunch in the restaurant that has replaced the White Horse. Got all misty eyed when I went to loo and saw that they've kept the old toilet doors - HEADHUNTERS ON TOUR, GOONERS, WHUFC, MILLWALL etc lovingly preserved.

It's the way the rippers used to kick the punters off of the pool table so they use it as their stage..
Where to real people go drinking these days?

Or they were rolling round the floor with chewing gum & dog ends stuck to their arses.
