Chelsea 0-1 West Ham Utd (30/11/19)

Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham United: Match thread (30/11)
Several concerns for me!
Martin is a league 1 keeper but he literally can't be worse than Roberto, if he can steady the ship for the next few weeks until Fab is back I'll take that.
Usual light midfield, this is where we will lose the game again. Nowhere near enough energy of physicality to compete.
Can Antonio come straight back in after 12 weeks out? Can see Haller replacing him at half time so we still won't see them together?

53M on an attacking pair and they're on the bench.....
Antonio (not that I dislike Big Mike) but that's a damning indictment of your CF who you spent 45M on....I think he's gonna be hoisted by his own petard.....
course when we win 4-0 we're all gonna look like right numpties for jumping on the "stupid line up" express !!!!!!

Wow
Didn’t see that line up coming
Could we get a battling draw from this?

I dunno. As I've said, I get the feeling that Martin was bought to play ONLY if both Fab & Rob were injured. Despite Rob's terrible form & mistakes, I think that Pelboy is sticking with Rob in the desperate hope that he will come good or more to the point, until Fab's back.Ludeksgloves wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 8:20 am If Roberto plays, i’ll lose any bit of confidence i have left in Pelligrini’s descision making.
Let's say he throws Martin in today, Chelsea away. It could destroy Martin & dropping Rob would have destroyed any confidence that he might have remaining. I really think Pelboy IS trying to manage the situation.
Imo, that's why I think Rob is still playing. That's if he does today.

Poor line up but to be fair as a club they’re a million miles in front of us and have better players all over the pitch.
We might’ve had a chance if were actually in form but as it is currently we’ll get smashed.
3-1 loss and hasta luego to Pellegrini.

Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham United: Match thread (30/11)
I feel a bit annoyed that most have been saying for weeks that Haller is lazy, and lately Yarmolenko isn’t doing anything but then complain when they are dropped? The same people complain that the midfield is lightweight and not physical enough, but crucify the only physical prescience we have in midfield (Sanchez): who would you play in midfield ? Other than swapping Cresswell for Masuaku I don’t know if I would have fielded a different XI with the options at our disposal. This is not the time to bring in the youngsters when we are on a diabolical run. You want to bring them in when the mood is at least somewhat positive.
Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham United: Match thread (30/11)
despite a few changes this won't change the performance and result from the other games - we needed to change formation. It wasn't the players, it was the formation. we should still be playing our "best XI" in a new formation, that alone could have been the stimulus for a renewed confidence, especially with antonio coming back in the team. PELLEGRINI has to go IMO. lost the plot

This is either going to be a massacre or a famous win. There will be no middle ground.
Bring it on.
Bring it on.

Absolutely nailed on. 100%. West Ham have absolutely no chance at all they said.
