I'm delighted. I've enjoyed first half. Never seen Pellegrini so animated. Want more from Anderson though. Young David look like he's always been here.

Looks like Pellegrini hasn't lost the dressing room yet, as these players have actually turned up and are putting in a hard working performance so far. Could probably he have helped himself out earlier by dropping Roberto for Martin as that seems to have made a big difference at the back

He's done ok so far. No better or worse than anyone else.

wouldn't we be better deploying Anderson on the left where he normally plays and get Formals closer to Antonio where he would normally play ?

Really disappointed with Anderson. Whilst everyone else seems to have upped their intensity, he remains a wall flower. This would be acceptable if he created chances like Payet, but he doesn't, so a minimum requirement is chasing and harrying.
Martins isn't filling me with much more confidence than Roberto did to be honest.

Cheers all... I'm rooting for Fornals. Really think he could turn into a player given the chance. Sounds like young Martin might keep the gloves until Xmas too

Tbf, Anderson just picked up the ball, went forwards and the only option he had was to pass backwards. We aren't playing rugby, we do need a bit of movement aswell.ginghamdress wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 3:44 pm Anderson really doesnt look interested

Gilt edged chance conceded right on half time after giving it away with a stupid pass deep in their half - classic West Ham.

Half time, and it's refreshing to see us not getting played off the park. We look solid and disciplined, almost like a proper team! By and large we have kept our shape defensively, but we could perhaps be a little more fluid when attacking. Clean sheet for Martin on debut so far, let's hope it's the same at the full time whistle.

Martin... A cult hero in the making? Better first half than I dared hoping for. COYI!

Not kidding. He's made at least 2 glaring errors, one which could have been on par with Roberto's OG imo.
