Shearer on MoTD mentioned something that few if any of us spotted during the game, that Cresswell ran ninety five yards for his goal. He started about fifteen yards from his own goal line and just kept running as the ball was cleared and Snodgrass took it forward

Excuse the intrusion but just watching MOTD, got a bit emotional seeing David Martin at the end there.
Well done that man.
Well done that man.

If suggesting someone uses prostitution to earn a living and that is homophobic I guess there must be some sort of truth to the rumour and that claiming it causes offence.

Quite. If someone wants to complain that it’s ‘homophobic’ then they’re suggesting that prostitution is a gay slur. That’s dodgy ground.Georgee Paris wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 11:12 pm If suggesting someone uses prostitution to earn a living and that is homophobic I guess there must be some sort of truth to the statement and that claiming it causes offence.

You could see the difference in the first few minutes. Antonio makes such a difference with his willingness to chase down balls played anywhere forward. Haller was total contrast when he replaced him late on. However, I would like to see the two of them together.
Top result and performance.

some people on kumb were desperate for Pellers to get the sack by now so not surprised other managers were being spoken to. When I watched the replays on sky the ball clearly comes off Antonio's arm on the initial touch. Annoying but that's the rule now, any touch of the hand/arm involved in a goal is ruled outpezza20 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 9:26 pm The board are in a bit of a pickle now having spent all week talking to new managers ....
Pelle at last picks the right side, with the right shape, round pegs in round holes, Fornals in his customary left midfield position, Snods wide right, Antonio tearing around up front and a keeper who looks like one, that in turn breeds confidence through the whole back 4 and they all responded.
How that Antonio goal was chalked off is beyond me, wasn't at all clear from the VAR footage so surely should have been given, VAR are just ***** when they review our games.

Unless, it appears, you're the home team playing at St Mary's yesterday.

I’ve lost my bra.
I think I lost it betweenEarls Court and Kent.
I know I ate a sausage roll.
Appealing to my West Ham family for return.
Accept PMs if scared of repercussions.

Just to state the - water-is-wet - obvious. We managed to get through 90mins without committing any grievous individual errors and because of that we looked better, more in control. We didn't have to chase the game. Pellegrini's game plan didn't have to be thrown out before half time.
Hopefully we'll see more disciplined performances in the next few games. No more stupid individual mistakes should be our new mantra.
