I think many people would like to think that is true, but in reality I think not. Regardless of what the supporters feel, I think the last thing on a potential Manager for West Ham mind, is our board. On the face of it they pay pretty well, let them have their own coaching team, have a decent squad and youth set up, provide a reasonable amount of funds and (currently) they are Manager rather than first team coach. For those who feel they can do better, club wise, of course they will not come but everyone else will be up for grabs. From a 'supporter' perspective, we could do better. From a 'Manager' perspective they could do worse.

Well, let's take a look at who they've had.

Grant - Desperate
Allardyce - Wasn't he one of the highest paid manager's in Europe? Another example of having to pay over the top
Bilic - Untried
Moyes - Desperate

I can't agree with you that it is the last thing on a candidate's mind, when they're being sounded out by GSB. Obviously can't speak for everyone, but the relationship with your future employer is probably top of my list when I (used to) look for jobs.

They dont provide reasonable amount of funds and I'd even say they are more coach than manager, with Sullivan buying players.

Managers must know that there is a finite amount of time they can last at West Ham, that's why the ones with any sort of credibility will demand the highest salaries. Sullivan knows he can't buy cheap managers and cheap players, therefore he has to choose between the two and inevitably chooses the cheaper option rather than doing both.

I wouldn't worry about that. He probably only has a year left on his contract and could well walk out of it like Pellers did.

Plus the way their season has gone he could well be sacked anyway.

A man who can't get a Chinese team with all the money in the world to compete at the top of the Chinese League as our next manager? The next level! :thdn:

Form over the last 10 games has West Ham and Bournemouth both on 9 points.

Points over the last 5 games has Bournemouth bottom, having lost 4 in a row.

Yep. Which is why for me it would be pointless to get rid of Pellers for Benitez.

But hasn't Sullivan had the horn for Rafa, for quite some time?

Nailed on Benitez will be our manager before the season is out.

Is that what's on offer when the manager's called to the boardroom IB

I'm normally quite keen on a Chinese takeaway warmed up after it's sell by date but it's clearly a terrible idea in this instance, particularly as the last one is still having some strange effects.

If you took over the club tomorrow and wanted to plough in £100m in the window to strengthen the team....would you trust Pelle to spend it?

I bloody wouldn't.
