They're making runs and good passes, they created our only chance and produced a number of corners. They have been by far the best performers of the half. Rice and Noble have been fihne defensively, but going forward they have given away possession cheaply, and have not set up the attacking players at all. Almost every productive possession in Wolves end has been a Anderson solo run, an Anderson/Fornals combination, or pure pace from Fredericks.

It’s okay saying Haller gets no service but he doesn’t make runs.
Cresswell whipped a fine ball into the six yard box and Haller was lurking about on the edge of the penalty area.
Antonio had two good chances in the first half on Saturday because he made two intelligent runs into dangerous areas. It’s no coincidence.

Yep. Now I can enjoy Mark Noble running into a load of players and the opposition breaking from it like never before
(and my ST view at the OS is quite swanky, but this is super Noble-vision)

Definitely looking forward to turning the commentary off in the second half. Didn’t think formals had a bad game. Need to gee Haller up
Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread
Looking at it With some claret tainted glasses we play so much better today that three weeks ago. Andersen seems to enjoy it a bit more in the middle of the park and Fornals starts to look like the man he can be.
The goal was soft (mr Fredericks) and Wolves has been a bit better than us, but maybe things have turned (a bit). If we can begin to deliver at least half of the key passes we try, something will happen.

I don’t think we’re that bad personally, not quite clicking going forward but it’s coming. Rice defence wise has been good tonight. How many players has Anderson dribbled past night so far?
I still think we will get something out of this.

Thought we were the better team. Their goal and the bulk of their shot attempts coming from that sequence of corners. I'm not even sure the the initial corner was a corner - it looked like Martin tipped a ball that was already behind.
Wolves have been very fortunate with the way the balls are breaking when we disrupt their play. We've done well to get really touch tight on the attacks forcing the attacker to lose control only to have the ball squirm away to another Wolves player. We've also done well againstTraore, we've double-team him when need and forced him to cross with his left - and he's even more limited than Antonio when it comes to delivering a cross with his left foot.
Liked the way we've making the one-two touch plays into/inside their box - like we were doing earlier in the season. We've been so much better going forwards centrally in the last couple of games, it gives our wide plays the option of overlapping INTO SPACE rather than getting blocked off on the sidelines.
We just need a bit of luck that we deserved for the effort and control we had in this game.

Very average. Similar to villa game except Wolves have scored
Anderson, Fornals, Oggy, Balbuena and Cresswell been OK. Everyone else under-par particularly Frederick, Haller and (uncharacteristically) Snoddy
Without Antonio we are very toothless. HAller just doesn't seem to know where to run or position himself

About right. Not so much a 'half time' talk though cos it's been happening regularly.claretnblueglasses wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 8:24 pm It’s okay saying Haller gets no service but he doesn’t make runs.

If I was Fornals I'd be getting pissed off everytime he tried making a run watching someone take the ball to the centre circle, stop and pass it backwards

There was one, splendid moment when our defence shaped up so well it forced them to back-pass into their own area. Just once.
