I really, really, really fear it being Pardew.

I think the fact that we have a near two week break after Southampton game is a factor. Clubs often act when there a space between fixtures. Lose to Saints and surely enough is enough.

I really enjoyed Pardew's tenure last time and I felt he put everything into it. I thought he really grasped what we are about. I also think that he has his methods and knows what he's doing.WorcesterWHU wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 1:39 pm I really, really, really fear it being Pardew.

I think he has a great eye for players and honestly I'd have him in that role of identifying and bringing players in for us.

I would love Pardew back. He gets the pace and power side of the game 110%
Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
Pardew in his desperation for work must have thrown his hat in the ring on a 'no win, no fee' basis and Sulli's gauging opinion by deploying the club forum trolls.

Let Pardew loose on Brady..
He'd 'earn' a few extra quid to spend in the transfer window..

So, they are split. One of the two, my hunch is it is Gold who wants him gone, the other, obviously Sullivan, naively believes the same guy who has led us into what has been a truly rotten season so far and who has overseen 10 defeats from our last 11 matches, many of which has seen us ship 3 goals and in the case of Oxford United, 4, is the right guy to turn this around. I wonder if he really believes this, or this is merely wishful thinking, hoping against forlorn hope, his man saves his face

I think we could (and probably will) do a lot worse than Pardew. He gave us some of our best times in the modern era. The football wasn't bad either.

Jesus. We really have gone insane if Pardew's name is doing the rounds.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
I posted the following on August 25th. It was early doors, but the signs were there then. Referring to the chances conceded in the first 3 games:-
Of course it's skewed, I said that initially, but I've also watched each game and those stats represent exactly what I've seen. Brighton should have scored 3 or 4 against us, it wasn't good defending from us to only concede 1 away from home, it was luck that they couldn't finish. We offered little going forward that game.
Yesterday we were superb going forward and we took our chances, but again could have conceded 2 or 3 easily.
Week 1 - City had the highest xG at 3.18
Week 2 - Brighton had 2nd highest xG behind City 2.4
Week 3 - Watford had 3rd highest xG behind us and Liverpool 2.29.
We've got to improve defensively or change the system against the better teams away. Those numbers are too high.

I seem to remember him predicting he’d be back one day... something about unfinished business...

Hughton, Moyes, Howe are the names in the frame according to Jacob Steinberg. Given that Howe would be unlikely to jump ship mid-season, you've got the former two as your options.
Watford and Everton have already had a look over both and said 'yours'.
