Manuel Pellegrini: West Ham United’s 17th manager

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
As desperate as he is, I highly doubt Moyes would come back for a second stint.
Hughton would be the ultimate embarrassment for me, living and working in Norwich.
If they’re looking at getting a consolidation manager in for the rest of the season I’ll probably jack it in and kick a ball about with my son up the park on Saturday afternoons.

The only way Pardew is managing in the PL again is if he gets a team promoted. I can't see a PL turning to him.
He's probably still getting his 8 year contract paid off by Newcastle.

Pathetic and predictable. Gets another chance in a massively important game. If we win (and obviously I hope we do) he'll get another 3 games. Lose and although he'll be gone our position gets worse by the week. They really are a bunch of clueless cowards.Knighter10WHU wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 3:10 pm https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... ck-manager

All 3 of those are truly terrible options, but I can't say I'm surprised.Aceface wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 3:09 pm Hughton, Moyes, Howe are the names in the frame according to Jacob Steinberg. Given that Howe would be unlikely to jump ship mid-season, you've got the former two as your options.
Watford and Everton have already had a look over both and said 'yours'.

I'd rather go down than go get Houghton or Moyes. When will people learn that sacking a manager to get in another one isn't the answer to more than just premier league survival? We need to rid ourselves of the actual problem and staying afloat in the PL isn't the way we get what we need.

Simple. If he gets a win at Southampton they can keep him for a few more games and avoid paying compensation. I actually used to think relegation is what scared them. Now I'm not so sure...

Pathetic really isn’t it? I don’t know any other board who would act in such a way.
In some ways we are paying for those late goals v Newcastle & Spurs.

Because, as I said previously, Sullivan is deluded, spineless and tight. Everybody else takes decisive action regardless of the consequences or cost, that's what serious senior management do - make decisions for good or ill. What do you think he would have done today if another 'Burnley' protest happened last night and it was his feet nearer the flames?

If we get a win against Southampton, that will be two wins in twelve games. Is Pellegrini really the right manager for West Ham?il_martello_di_genovesi wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 3:38 pm Simple. Honestly a great situation for a new manager if they come in after Southampton. Long period to settle in, and you get Fabianski back, which plasters over a lot of cracks. Pretty sure Pelle is looking at the same thing, just desperately trying to get to Fabianski's return with the hope it gives the side a confidence boost and that he is allowed to grab a CM in the window.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
I enjoyed Pards first season in the Prem, we had pace and power and no fear. Sadly that all went south pretty quickly. First game back, home against Blackburn and we came out 2nd half and ripped them a new one.
Wouldn`t want him back though.

Pardews first season in the Premier league and FA Cup run are up there with that first season under Bilic for me. My two favourite seasons as a West Ham fan.

Regardless of the fact there are bigger problems, he still is one and needs to leave.
