West Ham Utd 1-2 Leicester City (28/12/19)

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Leicester City: Match thread (28/12)
I’ve hit that point in the season where I’m not looking forward to West Ham playing as defeat seems inevitable (seems to happen at some point every season since the move).
Looking at the teams, how many of our lot would get in the Leicester team? Antonio yes, maybe Fabianski or rice, but overall we’re miles behind a team we should be able to compete with.

I often get a mate or two offer me their ST to go to a match if they cant make it to the game or simply do not want to go.
So far I have been offered a ticket by 6 different ST Holders.

Demel parachuted in at RB. Sneaky.
This is definitely the type of game we get a result. Pressure off, at least in terms of expectation of points. Fabianski to tighten things up a bit at the back. I can see it. Obviously we've got no chance whatsoever against Bournemouth.

I’m convinced that a massive part of the problem at the moment is a lack of confidence, which leads to the players looking lethargic and uninterested.
The stadium plays a big part in this, as it’s so hard to get any kind of rousing atmosphere, but we as fans play an even bigger part. We need to break the spiral of negativity. We are West Ham, we’ve always been a bit ****, but this is what we’ve all signed up for so let’s try to avoid the usual chuntering and muttering and support the team.
I’m expecting the worst, but hoping for the best. Fortunes always hiding, as I believe a wise man once said.

The beer hasn't started yet, but when it does I'll make the move from steadfast confidence to belligerent delusion, and in the process likely spend £20-30 on outlandish Hammers related bets that would have very little chance of coming in even if we weren't *****.

Not ITK but apparently officials from the Guinness book of records are going to be at the game today.

I'd love to see Antonio, Lanzini, Anderson and Haller all start.

Think we'll get a point with some goals scored. This may be the result of delusional refusal to accept reality.

Pondering my usual 2 hour commute to Ratford... not sure if it’s worth the effort anymore. Struggling to get motivated to do it all these days. Terrible kick off time too... should I even bother?
Then there’s the blind faith kicking in that tells me it could be a monumental win today. Haller and Antonio, 2-1 victory.
Of course I’ll go and support the team. Let’s hope the 2 hours commute home is a happy one.

Out of our usual group over half aren’t going - I’m going but have little feeling in relation to excitement. It really was this or tk max with the Mrs.

Should I stay or should I go?
Struggling to get myself motivated to go to this game.
Sad days.
The team looked knackered towards the end of the second half on Boxing Day after having 12 days off beforehand.
God only knows what they will be like after just 48 hours.
