He was supposed to have both games, but I would imagine Rodgers playing his reserves has got him the sack early.

We play 38 away games a season. That’s tough for any manager to deal with.

We probably shouldn’t have blown up our stadium.

Moyes?? FFS, We're gone, lets go kicking and screaming, why anyone would even contemplate Moyes is beyond any sort of sanity, cast your mind back to Swansea and Wigan under Mr Tedium.

If we're going to go let's go with a bit of craziness, some lunatic who actually cares ranting and raving on the touchline and makes 90% of those so called athletes who are playing at 60-70% capacity actually (hopefully) take notice.

Would a new manager have the desired effect on these players and get them playing properly again, or have most of them just given up playing for the badge completely?

It's been pretty much depressingly the same with a single Payet blip since Harry left, getting a bit boring now

I expect we'll stay up by the skin of our teeth and Gillingham will have a good fun day at our expense

Any other side with a 60k stadium in the PL would be courting Poch, Kovac etc.

Not our 2 old decrepit buffoons. :thdn:

I thought Pelle was a great appointment but I guess we were both wrong. There’s some outstanding managerial talent out there for what we are willing to pay.

Spalleti
Marcelino
Rangnick
Allegri
Moreno
Giampaulo
Pochettino
Solari

Not to mention the young up and coming managers we could tempt away if we were willing to pay compensation (don’t laugh).

PS DL wouldn’t it be smarter to concentrate on making the site actually work properly rather than running round locking threads that you consider to be similar to other threads? Impossible to post during matches which is when most people want to post.

The tiny prices on Betfair have been hoovered up, so would imagine some confident people out there that he has gone. We are now only 2 points better off than the Avram Grant season and failure to beat Bournemouth would have us in an equal/worse position.

Pochettino would be a dream !7appointment, as would Allegri. But people have to get real - we are barely above the relegation zone and need someone who knows the league, and who would actually take the job.

It’s hardly a manager’s dream job at the moment

Good. Should have been sacked three months ago.

The official statement made no mention of who might be in charge for the next game so I'm guessing no caretaker.
