Re: Little things in life that make you smile
A conversation I had with a Man U fan at work yesterday:
MUF: "Watch any football over Xmas?"
Me:" Yes WHU V Bournemouth plus various other games on TV.
MUF: "Oh I don't watch those kind of games."
ME: "What do you mean?"
MUF: "Games that involve teams in the top 6 of the PL."
ME: "Really - well I watched Arsenal V MAN U - didn't turn out too well for your team, did it."
MUF: "No, it didn't but thankfully I didn't see much of it."
Me: "Why was that then?"
MUF: "Oh I don't watch them when or if they are losing. I lose interest in the game - and them overall, if they are not winning regularly."
Me: "Guffaws with laughter!
MUF " What's so funny? I don't get it."

I have a good friend who is a MU fan and only ever posts on facebook to moan about how terrible Man Utd are. It always makes me chuckle.WHU Independent wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 11:31 pm A conversation I had with a Man U fan at work yesterday:

Despite West Ham being, well, West Ham, I do take great pleasure in my Man Utd supporting friends misery..

Yep, I know a few as well, it's one of the very few rays of sunshine regarding football
I use to like listening to the Mickey supporters whine due to results, sadly that boat has sailed probably for the next few years...

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
First trip to the gym Monday night for about three weeks. Walked in and looked around and it was busy (obviously). Figured there would be a lot of waiting around waiting for equipment, hunting for free weights that hadn't been put back, queues at the water fountain.
None of it. Everything I wanted was where it should be. Every piece of machine I went to was free and never had to queue at the water fountain. Was one of the best visits I've ever had.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
This is one of the reasons (amongst many) that I would love to see those c**ts relegated one day. That would make me more than smile.WHU Independent wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 11:31 pm A conversation I had with a Man U fan at work yesterday:

Take it from someone who has seen it happen, it's every bit as good as you imagine it to be.Eggs'n'nuts wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 11:58 am This is one of the reasons (amongst many) that I would love to see those c**ts relegated one day. That would make me more than smile.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Oh I remember it well JBB. I was about 12, but I want to see it happen again so I can savour it that little bit more (or a lot).Johnny Byrne's Boots wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 5:50 pm Take it from someone who has seen it happen, it's every bit as good as you imagine it to be.
Also what crowned it was Dennis Law's goal pretty much sealed their fate. If I remember correctly, it was literally a back healed tap in on the line. Goal of The millennium in my book.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Can you imagine quite how confused your average glory hunting , Class of '92 supporting **** would be if they got relegated? You know, the sort of ****er who answers David Beckham when asked who is the best player to have ever played football
They just wouldn't understand it.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
They wouldn't be around long enough to answer the question Whitey, because as soon as the final whistle blows, they'll be swapping the red of Manchester for the red of Merseyside.White Goodman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 6:33 pm Can you imagine quite how confused your average glory hunting , Class of '92 supporting **** would be if they got relegated? Mind you, ask them the same question and the answer would be Salah.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Every day, Google or some c*nt, changes the picture on my laptop screensaver.
Today, for the first time, I finally saw a picture of 'The Old Man of Storr'.
More impressive than I'd imagined. Talk about rugged. A bit knobbly in places but quite a sight.

One for WHU Independent.
M&S Vegan range of sandwiches, recently had “Tuna” and Sweetcorn and “Egg” and Cress for the first time in ages.
Really nice sandwiches to be fair.
