Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread
I am sorry to say I think we will play terrible for an hour and come to life for the final 30mins - whether that’s enough time to get any result tonight remains to be seen. I hope I’m wrong.

5 at the back with Zabaleta wing back?
Or is that a back four with Masuaku in midfield?

Arthur in midfield?
Time for Lanzini to step up a bit this season.

I'll be amazed if that is 5-3-2
Looks like 4-4-1-1 with Masuaku and Lanzini on the wings

That looks unbalanced to me, whether it's 4-4-2 with Arthur on the LW, or a 3 at the back with Cresswell. Anderson on the right and Lanzini supporting Haller or the other way around? Three U23's on the bench with no striker....

It's 3-5-2.
Cresswell as part of the back 3 like he was when Moyes was here before.

From the official WHUFC site
The team news is in and David Moyes has seemingly stuck with the three-man central defence that served him so well at Gillingham on Sunday, and during his first spell in charge during the 2017/18 season.
Lukasz Fabianski starts in goal behind a back three of Fabian Balbuena, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell, who reprises the role he played with aplomb under Moyes two seasons ago.
Unlikely Gillingham goalscorer Pablo Zabaleta and Arthur Masuaku fill the wing-back positions, with Declan Rice anchoring a three-man central midfield alongside returning captain Mark Noble – back from a foot injury – and Manuel Lanzini.

Very. And no forward on the bench so if Haller gets a knock?

Unsurprisingly, Chris Wilder makes just one change from the team which started the 2-0 home defeat by Liverpool on 2 January, with Ollie McBurnie replacing Lys Mousset in attack.
Henderson starts in goal behind a back three of O'Connell, Basham and Egan, with the wing-back berths filled by Baldock and Stevens. Captain Norwood, Lundstram and Fleck are the midfield three, with McGoldrick and McBurnie up front.
Sheffield United: Henderson, Baldock, Basham, O'Connell, Egan, Stevens, Norwood (c), Lundstram, Fleck, McGoldrick, McBurnie
Subs: Eastwood (GK), Jagielka, Osborn, Besic, Mousset, Robinson, Sharp

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread
Moyes said he thought Lanzini was the best player versus Gillingham. I don’t think he’s near his best but I also don’t think he’s being asked to do the no.10 job that people expect anymore.

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread
Little disappointed that our most effective attacking player from the last few games is dropped. Lanzini hasn't done enough to earn his first team spot imo.
