I understand the point mate, but if one of the players in the deal is worth 2% of the other one in relative transfer terms, you aren't really adding to your offer by including him in negotiations. If your dealing with a club and want one of their players who has a minimal time left on his deal and you also are selling them a player there has to room to do a deal.
Swap deals are notoriously difficult to get done. Agents want their cut, and when less money is changing hands they tend to create problems.
