We should actually lead by two goals. Good deliveries into their box, with three men waiting or running into the box. And the pressing is good too.
If you are 35 and as experienced as Zabaleta you can’t be ball-watching at a corner like that...

Corner goals are a percentage game. We were unlucky to concede from that sequence, especially when we should have been on the attack if the Ref. had not bottled the call.

Been really impressed with Fornals and Zabs and their willingness to provide the width and Rice for his willingness to make those switch diagonals from the middle of the park.

It feels like we've been unlucky to concede and unlucky not to have gotten another goal in that half. We've probably not taken advantage of the chances we've created in that half. The question will be how we'll adapt in the second half. A high pressing game will be energy sapping, but our bench is so thin on attacking talent that we might need to sub on defenders with the score even - and settle for a point, which in itself is crazy.

Possession stats will show that they've had the lion's share but they spent at least half that time passing along their back 4 with no outlet and constant pressing from Haller and Lanzini. Lust be very annoying to play against.

Snodgrass, Rice and Haller are my pick of the first half. Noble woke up after 20 minutes and played a bit better. We do lack a central midfielder to drive attacks through the middle a bit, as we do seem to favour fannying around on the wings without managing to get decent crosses in...

Scrappy from both sides. We should push Rice higher up the pitch to deal with Davies. Without an oppo AM we can leave Noble at DM to do his cockney Pirlo thing.

I wonder whether Ancelotti will sub Kean and change formation at HT.

But they get a free kick, go up the other end and score.

Unbelievable.
It was. An awful dive and equally **** refereeing... doesn’t detract from Zabaletta ball watching and letting man get the better of him from the corner though!

Question for my own question, but can VAR used in that situation? Free kick given over a corner?

It would have easily seen it as a clear and obvious error

Not a good sign, Snodgrass under pressure and no one in midfield coming to give him an option to pass to.

3 subs never played a first team game? Shocking if true.

Still our owners don't believe in buying in January

I think Sp*rs scored last weekend from a chance that came from an incorrectly awarded throw-in that cameras and commentators picked up on.
