A David Sullivan signing. Moyes has little to no say in what happens i would guess.

If we were actually looking to get him in why on earth do we need to scout him, WE KNOW what he can do already he is not an unknown overseas player in some far off land. It's all a bluff Sully is gambling on us staying up by the skin of our teeth again.
we don't have scouts.. i think we just have a single scout and he is busy mentoring volunteers

if there is any truth to the rumour then it probably has more to do with moyes personally taking a deeper look at allen rather than anything to do with our fictitious scouting team

if sulli had any intention of recruiting he wouldn't have completely gutted the scouting system, neither would he wait until next season to address it... why not now?

perhaps because moyes isn't going to be here next season... unless of course we do actually get relegated

maybe sulli is a bitter spurs fan who loves nothing more than drinking tears of outrage

... and that is Moyes's brief too. Sullivan has bought himself an insurance policy with him as well, should we go down, which is looking increasingly likely, he thinks he is the man to get us back up, hence the 18 month contract. When he doesn't, that's Moyes out the door but his problems will be nothing compared to the problems confronting Sully and Gold

sullivan would've given moyes a zero hours contract if he could, but even a patsy like him has a breaking point.

N'Zonzi - a man the wrong side of 30 not getting into the 6th best team in Turkey's side.

You've got to love this new level we're at.

Most of the NZonzi talk originates from Turkish press... and when was the last time they got anything right?

The main problem for us is that everything is out in the media before we’ve even done any business, once it’s out there then we’ve got to compete with other teams and when we’re offering less money in fees and wages then it’s always going to be a struggle. At the moment we’re being linked with fantasy options and realistic options but what we don’t want to be doing is giving out 2 year contracts to the over 30s because ultimately it’s going to cost us in the long run.

People really need to forget about “players for the future” right now. We are f*cked. We need to sort out the here and now. Let’s ensure Premiership survival which will be aided by experienced, tried and tested players and then look to a positive, sensible longer term strategy in the summer.

Sounds like we're interested in Berge and Kessie as first-tier CM signings (Kessie = loan).

We aren't top of the pile for Berge, so Kessie probably more likely.

Second tier is Ronaldo Viera and Nahitan Nandez, with Joe Allen and N'Zonzi as seemingly backup options.

Fyodor Chalov is a reported striking target.

Fredericks and Antonio in the squad tonight.

If (or when) we lose the next few it will be perfect timing as the window shuts to be second bottom, that will attract players alright,

Another unsubstantiated rumour at the moment.

Unrelated why do people read anything into what a Manager says in a press conference? Pellers said Obiang would only leave if he was replaced...he left...he wasn't..he still hasn't been replaced...the money saved/gained seems to have also evaporated

In defence of Moyes...Let's say he comes out with the blindingly obvious "the squad is paper thin, lacks quality here, here and here, if possible I'd ship out about ten of them and completely revamp this squad" come 1st of Feb, none have been sold, none have been purchased because, as TTS has pointed out succinctly, Moyes is not in charge of our player recruitment...dressing room=lost

Good point. He needs to bell up Reid's agent.

6 year deal, or nada!

surely coming in and having a dramatic impact on 2 occasions qualifies as good... certainly far better than what pelle or bilic were serving up with their own teams

Prob already been mentioned but with the sale of Samuelson to Hull and the return of Randolph in lieu of monies owed by Boro that likely puts Sulli into profit this window.
