3-5-2  ha ha haIroning Board wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:41 pm Antonio was not fit.
That said, I hope he abandons this 3-5-2 stuff. We urgently need at least two signings to bolster the midfield.
there is not any conceivable scenario that Moyes would ever play 3 just defenders
26 games and counting...

Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread
From one attacking opportunity we turned and passed back twice to our own penalty area nearly causing a problem. It's so frustrating to watchLeonRivers wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:40 pm There was a point in the second half there (at 2-1 down) where we won a free kick on the edge of the final third, out on the right wing. We didnt play it forward. In fact, we lost possession without having advanced the ball beyond the position of the free kick. The next time we got possession back was to kick off at 3-1.
Thick footballers.

It doesn't change how rubbish we were, but there were some very very strange refereeing decisions going on.

b*llocks, fit enough to be on the bench fit enough to start. Looked fine to me. Poor squad and lack of funding aside, that is piss poor management.Ironing Board wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:41 pm Antonio was not fit.

We will not be signing anybody. The only activity will be Sullivan actively trying to hawk Rice, Diop, Antonio, Fornals and Anderson to any takers. He will already be counting the income.
I hate everything about our club at the minute. I'm not even going to lay all the blame on Moyes. He must know that with the lack of pace we have we can't be going hung-ho especially against one of the fastest teams in the league. The one thing I will criticise him for is taking the job as he has clearly accepted what he has been given.
Sullivan knew he was on a winner with Moyes. £2m bonus if we stay up ? Ha - he might as well of offered £10m. We've got no chance !

Agree apart from Watford. They wont be near relegation come May.Crouchend_Hammer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:37 pm Absolute garbage
we deserved to lose five games based on that first half performance
Marginally better second half, but lets be honest we never looked like scoring, or even having a shot on target after the penalty
Let's get the Liverpool game out of the way, and then it will be a real bun fight.
Assuming Norwich are down, it looks like two from five to me, as Burnley probably done enough now
Watford
Bournemouth
Brighton
West Ham
Aston Villa
a mini-season of 15 games
3 From 4.

I liked the short free kicks Leicester were doing. Just altered the angles a little and ****ed with our brains. Seemed more effective than the hit and hope we try.LeonRivers wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:40 pm There was a point in the second half there (at 2-1 down) where we won a free kick on the edge of the final third, out on the right wing. Just got in and seen the score. Ouch!
Was it as bad as it looks? (before I read back the match thread....)

How predictable that someone would say Antonio should start, though? No doubt the same people would be up in arms when he pulled up having been rushed back.Ironing Board wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:41 pm Antonio was not fit.

So is the assertion that an injury-prone 30-year-old (minus two months) whom we have rushed back on multiple occasions should have started, because you've either got the 20-20 hindsight specs on, or you genuinely think it's a good idea.

Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread
So you would risk one of our key players in a game where we had very little chance of getting anything anyway.
If Antonio f***ed his hamstring and was out for the rest of the season I am sure you would have applauded the manager for his derring do!

Worse.
The 1st half was and this is being kind was utterly embarrassing.
2nd half we got a very soft penalty right at the start but aside from that created nothing throughout the game
Leicester could and should have had more.
In truth 4-1 flattered us.

Haven't got the energy to get annoyed about it anymore. We are doomed.
Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread
probably the fastest team in the prem against the slowest, 5 players past 30 playing every game due to lack of depth in the squad, this one is down to GSB, they have also gone for a manager who will never be popular so have the excuse ready if relegation happens, if we sign anyone and stay up they will expect the credit for spending, if we go down its moyes fault he was happy with his squad, they really are the saviours
