We would have got relegated without them coming in during that season. Without a doubt, imo.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
They might well be 'paupers', in relative terms. SO F*CKING WHAT? IT'S NOT OUR FAULT & IT'S NOTHING TO DO WITH US.westhamlinnet wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 8:04 pm The narrative being spun by boards lickspittle claret and hugh and ex west ham employee . I hold these apologists in lower esteem than the board themslves is that sullivan and gold are paupers. Yes compared to some owners they arent wealthy but between them they are worth 1.5 billion look up times rich list. They could afford to inject some capital into club and buy a couple of players . They choose not to
If they can't afford to run the club properly (as in half decent players, performances & results, not Champions League bollox), they shouldn't be here; they shouldn't be our owners.
If they can't admit that to themselves, as 'West Ham fans', they really need to start doing so.
Them being 'paupers' is killing us & the club.

One of my favourite West Ham memories is of Dicks Vs Cobi Jones of Coventry City. I'm sure my memory has been altered by time but I remember Jones skinning Dicks by the then all seated Chicken Run in the first few min. Not the wisest decision, Dicks kicked the **** out of him for the next 20 min or so, as soon as Jones touched the ball Jules launched him. He'd have seen red today but it was beautiful to watch, not to mention, funny as f***

Yannick Carrasco in talks with Palace. They want a loan.

And the infamous Perry Groves game where he spent half the match doing a Tom Daley impression with Julian as the diving board
We’ve got dead eyed Aaron Cresswell playing at left back these days. Says it all really.

Get Montiel in!!!
Great player, 23 years old and with a bright future ahead...
2 calls for Argentina national squad, 1.76 m (5 ft 9 in) and has a £17 million release clause in his contract.
He has better stats than Zabaleta and (in some terms) to Fredericks (except tackles) and was elected in the best 11 team players of the season 2019 in Argentina, was convocated in the 2019 best of team of the continent (voted by the best journos of Southamerica), and as well one of the 3 best D (CR) of the decade in River Plate..
As Marcelo Gallardo, manager of River Plate explicit set to NOT to give players on loan... (he declared last week)

As Marcelo Gallardo, manager of River Plate explicit set to NOT to give players on loan... (he declared last week)
Manager Marcelo Gallardo addressed the rumours in his most recent press conference, saying “There are clubs all over the world interested in River players and not everyone agrees on the economic point of view.
“We have a heritage to defend and no matter where you come from, you are going to have to make a proposal that we evaluate positively."
“If you come with a loan offer for a valuable player of ours, I say ’thank you, but no’. It is not what we want.
“It would be ridiculous if we agreed to start a conversation with a proposal like that, as also happened with (Juan Fernando) Quintero (Genoa wanted him on loan for 6 months now and tried to get him in those terms a week a go).”

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
We are beyond Gold and Sullivan’s penny pinching ways. The bet spend in the summer after we sold Chicharito was around £22m, they have saved around £11m in wages since the summer so really only a net spend of £11m.
Milan are desperate to offload Kessie, Piatek, Suso and Ricardo Rodriguez. All 4 would be huge upgrades on what we have.
We should give them £20m and take Rodriquez permanently and Piatek and Kessie on loan for the rest of the season with and additional £40m to make them permanent should we stay up. We can recoup a fair bit of the initial £20m by selling Masuaku (who Rodriguez makes redundant) to Napoli who have been after him this window.
The Milan trio address 3 of our 4 biggest needs and may just keep us up. I still think we need a right back (possibly Monticello), but a central midfielder with pace and power, a defensive upgrade at left back and a striker who was prolific last season gets us a lot closer.

I see the Payet talk has gone quiet, but those who say we don’t need a player like him should remember how much better Cresswell, Antonio and Lanzini played with him in the side. Imagine what he’d do for Haller.
A really great player can transform a team.

According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, David Moyes is in the driving seat to sign the AC Milan frontman with the Serie A outfit preferring to cash in on the player, rather than send him out on loan.
Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
maybe give him a call.. would add some pace to the midfield compared to certain players

Hard to understand why the owners wont just fork out the cash to get 2 players in. If it costs 40 Million so be it. TV rights alone is worth 120 million by staying in this league and if it goes t i t s up we can always sell them.
