No wonder - they were kicking lumps out him that day and the ref was letting them get away with it!Boooogers! wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 7:28 pm My favourite memory of Paaarlo was when he pretty much gave up in protest against Bradford I think it was, when he thought he should've had two pens. Ended up sitting down on the pitch throwing his arms up, begging Harry to take him off

I know what you’re saying but it didn’t make me laugh his arrogance and personal strategy to get rid of roader by undermining him so he could get the job in his mind was disgusting.
For a bloke who professes his love for this club, I hold him above others accountable for our relegation and subsequent fire sale of talent.

Would have loved Paolo here as manager.
Debate his managerial skills as much as you want but he cant be much worse than the current one and at least he is a modern club legend.

Man Utds cheating via Scheinstieger takes all the blame for that Cup exit. There's a reason why these teams like Liverpool/Man Utd keep winning **** when they're allowed to get away with their nonsense.steveyrockstar wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 7:20 pm We certainly should've won the FA Cup in the Payet season. We were the best team left in it when we played Man U. Antonio had a shocker at RB in the replay and Rashford scored that cracker.
Not sure what was more disappointing that season, getting tonked by Swansea and not finishing fourth, or not winning the cup.

He must have been a nightmare for managers. Fell out with Capello, Trapatonni, walked out on Celtic. An utter mad genius!Boooogers! wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 7:44 pm https://www.google.ca/amp/s/amp.thegua ... ry.sport14

I'd say just "mad" but yeah you're not wrong about being a nightmare.Ironing Board wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 7:59 pm He must have been a nightmare for managers. Fell out with Capello, Trapatonni, walked out on Celtic. An utter mad genius!
His managerial career also showed him up for who he is - a stubborn maverick.
Moments of genius and brilliance for sure but should never be let anywhere near a position of responsibility, let alone management!

I loathed him for it at the time too, Oz. Absolutely loathed him for it. He managed to make me feel sympathy for Roeder, even though his uselessness was handing Terrence free reign to sell the family silver at the end of the season...Ozza wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 7:43 pm I know what you’re saying but it didn’t make me laugh his arrogance and personal strategy to get rid of roader by undermining him so he could get the job in his mind was disgusting.

But I’ve learnt to find this stuff funny in retrospect. People like Sullivan ordering Payet to train with the kids? Roeder in his Gestapo coat trying to tell Paolo or Joe Cole how to play football?
Funny because it’s truly so ****ing tragic and so West Ham.

I think he'll always be a legend up there for going off his tits when they beat Newcastle!

You can add to that list David Moyes telling people "winning is what I do"
And here we are, back on topic...
