Re: Andy Carroll
More than quite a few clapped him when he came on - virtually everyone left in the stadium. It amazed me.

Andy Carroll injury setback frustrates Newcastle boss Steve Bruce
How he's made millions from being effectively a 'part time' professional i'll never know.

Re: Andy Carroll
I was wondering how long it would be before they started to bemoan his injuries and lack of playing time.
A little longer than I thought if I'm to be honest.

Sounds like an old grand-dad playing with the kids in the back garden.

He did his ankle in jumping for the ball lol. Anyone who takes him on and pays him a wage is off their rocker. I am glad we released him and got Whilshire in:)Lovejoy2 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 1:55 pm Oh dear..

Just when you think we learned a lesson with Carrol. Wheelchair is " worse " Out for season now with a Hernia op? He loses months without even being tackled. Gotta love a free transfer. Good luck to Wheelchair and his 100 grand a week for doing very little. Take the dumb owners for every penny!

Re: Andy Carroll
Much worse in my opinion. Carroll had around 15 decent games for us over however many yearsDepressed Hammer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 2:17 pm Just when you think we learned a lesson with Carrol. I’m not sure we ever won a PL game with Wilshere in the starting 11 AND the fact Pel insinuated that at one stage he wasn’t playing because “he wasn’t feeling it” puts him in Upson levels of bottle job cuntishness for me.
Up there with Roberto in the worst signing the last lot made. Probably the worst

Re: Andy Carroll
Is that correct, though? I don't remember Pellegrini insinuate that? But there was some annoyance in the Wilshere-thread after this article in the Daily Mail, where it said
But while scans have shown no major problem, Wilshere still feels pain around the pelvic area and is anxious not to aggravate the problem with a premature return.
FWIW, the fact he needed an operation some weeks after that, shows Jack to have more insight than either our scans, or The Daily Mail.

Re: Andy Carroll
I'm always a bit amused by people slagging off wilshere's signing. All I was reading was how he was gonna replace noble and regain his England spot. I really wish I'd been wrong when I never expected anything from him. Apart from his lack of fitness I never even thought he was a good player, so I am really wishing I couldn't say 'I told you so'. Carroll? Well, he was finished 2 years ago
