Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United:Match thread (19/02)
I actually think this winter break is perfect for us right now, the players need a break from mentally dealing with the **** situation we're in.
Not that it's going to get better when we come back into two games against Man City and Liverpool, necessarily, but a mental break from it and a rest is exactly what's needed.
You won't get fitter/faster by coming in and running around a lot. It's actually counter productive, especially at this stage in the season. There's likely a lot more mental fatigue in players than there is physical, and a proper rest will help with both of those.

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United:Match thread (19/02)
I'm sorry to say but it's all pointing to relegation to the Championship and I have now excepted that fate.
The Brighton game was the last straw fro me, that combination of sheer stupidity and VAR decision on such a pivotal match made me smash a few things up and throw the towel in.
The games coming up, the appointment of Nolan (ready made appointment for the Championship) and the fact that Moyes was given an 18 months contract all point to where we will be next Season.
1 - 3 points in next 4 games will seal that fate.
No point predicting the City game as its a fruitless task

IF...and its a big IF, we find ourselves in the situation where we are 1 nil up with 15/20 mins to go, for the love of god please don't put Masuaku on as he seems to confuse the living sh%t out of everyone and our shape completely goes out of the window. Plus he has too many brain farts.

Wow, and I thought I was disillusioned with all things West Ham! That is next level right there!hammerman11 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 8:22 am would be strange if it got cancelled next week as well due to snow. should have played it this weekend. the darlings have enough time off and don't need a winters break so they can flash their money on a beach somewhere. get them in training hard and be fitter and faster for the next game. but no our stars are off on holiday back on Saturday for a chat and massage, light jog on sunday, light 2 hour session on Monday and travel up Tuesday. stuffed on weds, day off Thursday, massage Friday, light jog Saturday and travel on sunday and smashed again on Monday night !
Tuesday day off
weds massage and a chat
thurs light jog and light training
Friday rest
Saturday lose to Southampton.

Why's everyone rewriting Craig David's Seven Days all of a sudden?

Shock result coming soon for us, it should be Moyes 1 big win like Chelsea last time
So will it be City or Liverpool ?
Or it it just winning a home game v a team in the top 12

Probably not relevant to this match thread but this gives me some hope for our survival chances. Dont think we can take a repeat of last time on opening game of the season.
"The starting XI Moyes must pick to to keep West Ham up:
Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Soucek, Anderson, Bowen, Antonio, Haller."
Snoddy and Noble to do their part, Ajeti doesnt look up to it but give him some minutes here and there.

Given their fixture pile up I expect a squad team from city. They have Leicester followed by madrid. Saying that with Moyes I expect a 4-1 loss.LouieOneChop wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 1:36 am Probably not relevant to this match thread but this gives me some hope for our survival chances. Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United:Match thread (19/02)
the question for moyes is does he play le sulk, haller ? looked lazy and uninterested so I would drop him to the bench.
fabianski
fredericks diop ogbonna cresswell C
Snodgrass rice soucek anderson
Antonio bowen
subs Randolph nagkia balbunena masuaka noble lanzini haller
The C for captain for cresswell; amongst other things !
pace in that team with fred Anderson Antonio and bowen. Antonio will rip stones and otamendi apart.
having said that I expect us to lose.

Shows how badly we managed the striker situation.
We replaced 4 players with premier league experience with 2 that had none. Was always a gamble, can't believe Haller cost £5million more than Mo Salah fgs.

Can't start Haller like playing with 10 men
Bring him on if we need a goal and see if tries a bit harder to show he is worth it

Some bookies have us at 20/1. Not sure I’ve seen us at odds that long for a while.
We will get a result at either City or Anfield.
