I dunno, Puff. I went & got a takeaway the other week. I had no belief or worry that doing so, would put me in any danger.
When I went to Sainsburys on Monday & got on the end of the 100 metre queue to get in, I noticed that the bloke in front of me was a Chinese man.
It didn't stop me standing behind him, although I must admit I wasn't best pleased when he spent the next 20 to 30 minutes continually getting his snotty hanky out of his pocket to keep blowing his nose. And coughing, without putting his hand up. I did wonder if that shopping trip would end up killing me. Of course, it still might as he did seem to have at the least, some kind of cough & cold symptoms.
As they have said in the media, it's important that we don't demonise people just for being or looking Chinese.
So long as people cooking or serving Chinese food, use the usual safe food preparation procedures, eating Chinese food shouldn't be any more dangerous than eating any other food.

These figures don't shock me. In fact, judging by other countries and how overpopulated our own is, if we stay below 1,000 a day I'd say that's better than was to be expected.

By no means is death ever a good result so I'll avoid using that term, but given this dire, dire situation, I really am fearing 1500-2000 a day, particularly around London.

I look out at the local community in Newham and they still go out in numbers, still pray, still socialise in the street. What chance have you got?

I was due a tug probably last week. It's starting to get to the point where it wont do what I want it to do now, and I have to just go with how it falls.

On the other hand, I'm not leaving the house so I've not bothered cleaning it at all.

Corrected for you :D

So less than half still?

I'd expect to get to the point where the vast majority of those tested test positive.

People are indoors so not out picking up colds or any other virus. We're also clearer on symptoms and very familiar with what to expect.

What about a kebab or a curry. The people preparing / delivering those could just as easy have the virus as the Chinese place. You'd better stop all take aways.

Nothing to do with thinking I'll catch Coronavirus.

It's the prep and practices. And before you start, don't try and turn me off other takeaways please.

Didn't worry you before? They arent importing live animals at your local takeaway. Why would you be put off in the least. No more pasta?

Psychological.

I saw a video of a pig cowering in the corner before being slaughtered so haven't eaten pork for a month.

What - you think that every Chinese Take Away will go out of business ?

What if the virus had originated in India would you never have another curry ?

Or if it originated in the USA you'd never have another....urrrmmm.....burger ?

We had an Indian takeaway last Saturday (luxury). We ordered online, then when collecting I was told to phone from from the car and they'd bring it out to me, they were even wearing rubber gloves and mask

Judging by the traffic while I was having my walk about a week was the limit. Grandparents dropping kids off, kids calling for their mates or picking up girlfriends, ASOS deliveries. Apart from school run number of cars seemed back to usual.

Why?

All food served in the UK is done so under strict food regulations, it doesn’t come from Duck, beef, pork, chicken or any meat sold in the UK, it doesn’t come from any vegetable either.

Why on earth would it stop you eating Chinese other then prejudice?
