Re: January 2021 Transfer Window
Just checked our net spend for this season on transfermarkt.
Shows as total spend 6.8 million.
That includes £1.5 million loan fee for Lingard. And the original £4 million loan fee for Benrahma and his £21 million fee this month. Also the £1.4 fee for Alves.
Shows no loan fee received for Anderson so I'm sure that also reduces the net but not reflected.

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window
How much did they allegedly value the club recently? How much profit does that leave them with, no need to be precise - round hundreds of millions £ will do....?
Over £500m for a premier league club with only one senior striker and two centre midfielders

It’s not that I and others don’t believe you Pezza, I just don’t think GSB will lay out the dosh, they will find some way of including Anderson and Benhrama in that money. Pay £5m down and claim they have spent £40m or get rid of Moysey and blame him they have no money. “Well he did want a scouting network, when everything was working out fine before “

Just makes their supposed valuation of the club even more hilarious.bristolhammerfc wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 4:50 pmThere's no money at the club.
COVID19 has hit hard. There's a reason we defaulted on the Haller payment
We have real cash flow problems allegedly

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window
You almost understood. The point goes back to managing a squad over a season to prevent burn-out.steveyrockstar wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 2:37 pmHang on, did someone really criticise Moyes for trying to field his strongest XI every week and accuse him of not managing his (tiny) squad better when we're currently 5th?![]()

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window
Every position dropped from here on in will be another £2m pissed against the wall - It's an absolute disgrace that we have f*** all to spend on anyone Moyes wants, but Sullivan managed to spend £20m on somebody he wanted!!
I wouldn't be shocked if a rival team, with a smidgen of ambition, pinches Moyes off us!!

Just looked up Josh Maja. Are we really throwing our toys out the pram for not signing him?!
2 in 17 this season. 11 in 49 (all comps) for Bordeaux.

Not aimed at you Pezza, more the words that come after the dash....
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only way £60 million will be splurged is if we sell Rice.
Otherwise, where's it going to come from? We're skint.

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window
Wait till we flog Rice for £60m in the summer and that £120m turns into £40m...
Once again we are in a great position to challenge for Europe and we don't bother.

Didn’t Costa have his contract terminated? If so, we or anyone else can sign him at our leisureil_martello_di_genovesi wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 5:00 pmWe have a few hours to get Diego Costa in. Make it happen.

True, I was hoping he could registered for Villa to kick Grealish when he hits the floor.

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window
Then spending £25m odd on Benrahma makes even less sense. Buy Dawson outright at this stage for £3m if we were so desperate to free up a loan spot for Lingard.bristolhammerfc wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 4:50 pmThere's no money at the club.

All this time and we couldn't scout a half decent back up for Antonio for about £10m? We got real value in Soucek and Coufal so it can be done. If we do get into Europe it makes us much more attractive for potential players.
We're just kicking the can down the road till we sell Rice as 17th each year is the limit of this board's ambitions...which is exactly like it was for the likes of the Cearns, Brown etc.

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window
At least both of those previous owners either won us trophes, got us to finals and gave us our best ever league and PL finishes.
All this lot have done is rape and pillage the club, strip it to the bare bones, lined their own pockets, and with the exception of one and a hlf, seasons upon seasons of lies, dross, and players not fit to wear the shirt.
This mob ain't even fit to lace our previous owners boots - and that's saying something.
