Should pay tribute to John Lyall and throw in Dundee United as well!

I went to the friendly in 2000 up there.

Remember being in the bookies beforehand and some Celtic fan was saying how Di Canio was gonna play one half for each team.

My other memory was David Suker just running laps of the pitch for about 45 minutes before the game. Not sure he actually came on.

That was a decent day out. Can always recall when it was because was same day as the French Concorde crash.

Tasty atmosphere even for a friendly. Was very glad for the police escort after the game back to the station.

I think I will try and go to this one Covid permitting.

I’d definitely be up for a trip to Celtic Park, couple of hours drive for me from the east coast, be my shortest trip of the season . I’ll have to dig out my West Ham/Celtic bobble hat from the 80s :D

I personally hate them with a passion, what with their support open admiration for the provos, the chanting about Lee Rigby etc.

I'm not sure why we'd play this game. It has trouble written all over it. We're not the most sympathetic of clubs to their 'causes'.

If it does take place, it will be without away support, just like the Rangers V Arsenal game the week before.

My understanding was that Celtic and WHU actually had quite a decent relationship, and that includes a lot of players and a couple of managers who have had relationships with both clubs. They have also played friendly matches before. Wouldn't think there would be any trouble at all.

I am with Bow E3 here

Horrible club and one I think some of our fans will try and make a statement against if away fans allowed. I know quite a few West Ham fans who have strong relationships with Rangers and we enjoy an away day at Celtic.

Still - Covid will stop the chances happening

What statement would they make?

For the record, I never thought we had any relationship with Rangers. That was Chelsea and the "Blues Brothers"
