Thought we would have learnt our lesson by having a bit of a tit in goal with Roberto!

Jacob Steinberg from The Guardian was hinting our Keeper coach Xavi Valero also had a say on this signing. Not the first time Moyes has taken advice from his coaching staff with a signing, after Dawson with Irvine and Pearce. I'm not sure if Valero was working at Real Madrid at the same time Areola was there. But if so that explains a lot.

I don't know how fit he is, or whether he has still taken part in pre-season at PSG. I suspect he will be lacking in match sharpness as he surely wouldn't of played in any games. So I reckon he'll possibly play in the Brentford game and Fabisanki will start against Atlanta and will start the new season too.

I think he is probably the tallest player we have - for that reason I think this is a good move. We were a little short.

I think in this instance Fabs needs to bring him in under his bosom, and show him the ropes. Hopefully under his tutelage we can start adding some silverware to our......chest.

The headache for Moyes will be who to play in the Europa League Final if one has had league games and the other the cup games.

Fantastic bit of business. Looked very good at Fulham behind a shaky defence and could be our number 1 for at least the next 5 years.

Good to have 2 top quality keepers and one very good one in the squad (although I would imagine Randolph will be off).

As you rightly point out, we have 2 top quality keepers in Areola and Fabianski, and one very good one in Martin - absolutely no need for Randolph to stay.

I know I'm not a mod anymore, but as it seems there isn't one on duty, I'll do my bit for the KUMB community.

Can we not do all the breast puns again? It was very painful the first time, and we really don't need to be subjected to it again.

Excellent signing, I don't like loan's, I would rather a player commits fully to the club but if it was the only way we can get a world class talent then it's better than not having him,
Good start to the window

Very important signing.

A competent replacement for Fabianski and also means we shouldn't see Randolph feature much again.

So, we have a very good keeper, whose contract ends at the end of the season when he will be 47 years old

And now,

We have bought another very good keeper (7ft 10 inches) who will challenge the current very good keeper (47)......in a keeping contest....to see who is the very best at keeping.

And when the current keepers contract expires next year, we can officially sign the other keeper (7ft 10 inchs) who is currently the serious challenger to the very good keeper (47)...and can take over the mantle as the current keeper outright.

If not before.

Looks like a plan.
