Really enjoyed it today, me and my daughter got to check out our new seats for next season and even brought mrs Moxy over for her first ever game. Both girls enjoyed it. Thought we looked in control and sharp but do worry about our squad size. But a great day out, few pints before and a West Ham win, really nice to watch live football again.

Likewise enjoyed it today. We played well, benrahma was excellent. My omly down point was missing players - lanzini? Ogbonna?
And we really need to shift yarmolenko.

I think there is a place for him, maybe against teams that we will have to work to break down rather than counter quickly

Really good performance against a proper team. I know it’s “only a friendly” but the intensity and desire to work hard was so impressive. Rice looked bang up for it and Benrahma was great - I really enjoy watching him play.

I love it in football when two players just ‘hit it off’ with each other in a football sense - when they seem to see runs and passes for each other that no one else does and the combo of the parts is greater than the individuals.

Whilst they didn’t seem to hit it off on the pitch last season I thought Fornals and Benrahma were on a different level in terms of their interplay today. Looking forward to more of that.

Lanzini got a minor knock in training but will be ok for next week.

Can’t wait to see Benrahma this season. Looks to have added the strength he needed to be a real force. Top marks for the fact he has been working on his body.

Benrahma goal reminded me of Trevor Morley at his finest .

Good performance from the little Algerian - the confidence to take that volley and the awareness to poke in that headed goal is a sure sign he's ready for the coming season - let's hope his form continues .

I agree, but I also think this is why people need to be patient when he hits one of those and it flies over the bar. He needs the freedom to try those things but they will never all come off.

The problem with Yarmolenko as I see it is that whilst he is clearly a very good player he just doesn't seem to fit into any of the systems we play.
Can't see Moyes changing it just to suit him.

I thought he looked pretty decent for the first 3/4 of the first half, and then seemed to drop off of the proverbial cliff.

He'd be useful to have around still, for the last half hour or so of a game when we're chasing a goal.
