Only thing I can think is that he means starting (first half) tactics 5 and then adjustments (second half) 8. I can sort of see that but it's a bit ungenerous as but for a couple of predictable defensive lapses we matched them first half. Anyway, no doubt all will be revealed.

What is that song Newcastle play as they line-up on the pitch?

Sounds like it’s from an old Blue Stratos advert or something.

Hugely impressed by the variety of our goals but specifically how we kept the ball on one side of the pitch, drew them in and then quickly and purposefully moved it across where we had opened up the space to attack. Both Cresswell and Benrahma's goals were excellent examples of that.

Some of Antonio's running was immense. There was a point in the first half where ASM picked the ball up and went on one of his many dribbles which Antonio was having none of, sprinting full force from the edge of their area to catch him. A wonderful display of how this team play together and not as individuals.

Correct. Same here, in fact went to the same school Knopfler went to (years later). The myth was that the then Head of English told him he would never have a career in music. Probably same myth at every school any musician went to :)

One club in a small town. Makes them appear more significant than they are.

Their crowds when not in the top flight have never been anything to write home about.

What did he get wrong?
Did you watch the first half?

His halftime adjustments (which I gave an 8/10) were what saved us. Not the tactics entering the match.

Since when did Local Hero sound like a soundtrack to a Blue Stratos advert?

The PA was crap where I was in the stand but I think they played Carl Orff O Fortuna before kick off as well

That makes no sense though. You don't give five out of 10 for tactics when you think someone's tactical adjustments won the match!

Maybe Moyes starting tactics 5/10, but to score win the second half 3-0 surely makes tactical adjustments 10/10? Then round up to an overall tactics score of 8/10.

Feels like an exercise in pedantry. Would you prefer I used the term "setup" to tactics?
