Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2021
Im wondering whether we migbt turn to using 1 of our Domestic loan deals for a Striker of sorts as a plan B to Antonio/false 9 plan A. Either a Prem 1 not getting much look in somewhere, or even wait to edpkore the Lower Leagues/Championship for one...
Something like that wouod make me more at ease with the lack of genuine established senior Striker cover for Antonio in the squad.
Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2021
The odd thing is I was never that excited about those players. Chicharito i thought would be a terrible signing, Anderson just had a dodgy feel about it. Haller I had some hope for but that soon faded.FionnMac wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 6:09 pm It would be very positive and bode well, but you can't really judge a signing until a player has been at the club 6 or 12 months. Most of us were very excited about Anderson, Haller, Chicharito and I'm sure phrases like 'next level' were banded about that then and look what happened.
I'm very confident about Vlasic and Zouma, optimistic about Kral and no fkin clue what to expect if we get Hlozek
The point is in the past I have never had any faith in our recruitment at all, it has always been punts, has-beens or the obvious choice which is normal wrong. The two times we have spent money we threw it away on crocks or over priced unsuited players, we have been robbed blind time and again, year after year. This is the first time I have ever had faith in our recruitment policy. Maybe G&S feel the same and hence they are now willing to give more money to Moyes

He would probably want a starting 11 place but mckennie would be even better than kral. An please do try for dike, if we do that I’ll eat crow after being extremely negative all window. Still, they need to be hounded out no matter what.

4 hours to go. Plenty of time yet to find a striker, an attacking midfielder, a left-back, and some backup for Randolph

Hernandez was a quality signing and the kind you should be making to improve your squad, especially in the Striker positions.

McKennie is well above Kral's level. But also well above Kral's price tag.VeniceHammer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 6:51 pm He would probably want a starting 11 place but mckennie would be even better than kral.

Wonder if we were ever really in for Oxade Chamberlain? Maybe we were put off by wages and loan fees like we were with RLC

Obviously we're waiting to seal another player to run a double announcement alongside Kral.
We've signed Bamba! And that's not Krall, we've also signed a Czech midfielder!
