Beautiful defence splitting pass. He's none too popular on the Man Utd forums at the minute.

In the video I saw he looks crushed. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I do feel sorry for him. It’s also quite funny. The sheer amount of abuse he’s about to receive… this could all have been avoided, can’t think how.

But he did not want to join us and wanted to stay at Manchester United.

Yes, I reckon he will score 10 in 19 games, just to edge past Jesse.

I know, I’m saying he could’ve avoided the grief if he’d had the sense to join us permanently. Fair amount of abuse been sent his way already.

That form was likely unsustainable, it was not the norm for Lingard. In the long term I think Vlasic will prove a better signing.

Vlasic already has more career goals than Lingard, he's 6 years younger.

Agree, but it all just feels a bit pointless as it’s pretty clear we were never really an option for him this summer. He didn’t want to join us and we didn’t do enough to sign him. We may as well be talking about the abuse any other player in the league would receive from making a mistake for their club.

He unsurprisingly looks rusty having to keep coming off the bench for the last knockings of matches. He doesn't make those sloppy errors playing regularly from the start of games, but this was always the risk staying at Man Utd.

No doubt he'll make amends by scoring against us on sunday now.. :arry:

A couple more performances like that and we'll get him for 50p in January.

I am not worried if he comes back to us or not. What i would say though is the guy has been through a tough time mentally. The abuse he is receiving from the Utd fans, of which i am sure he will see some of it. Isn't going to do his well being any good.

I’m guessing he’s been rubbish for the rest of his career

No, he's always been an decent and effective player and I'd still like us to sign him.

But 9 goals in 16 games when he's best ever season was 8 in 38 is an obvious anomaly.

He still would be welcomed with open arms into our squad and be in contention to start most games.
