Big game.

Win this and you can pretty much safely say we’re headed to the last 16.

Moreless. 2 more wins I reckon we’ll finish top. Hopefully we can get the 6 points in both games against this mob. Then we may be able to rest even more of our Premier League starting 11.

Would be nice to see a performance closer to Dinamo than Rapid Wien, but really the result is what counts here given the games coming up in the league. Just got to get it done.

Want best team but Antonio looked knackered and Sunday is a BIG one

Win thursday and we are through ... but we do need that top seed, very good teams dropping down this year

The one problem position is in midfield really. As I would’ve loved to have rested at least 1 of Rice or/& Soucek. But if Noble and Kral are potentially out they may have to play by default. Kral will be surely. But didn’t Moyes say Noble may be back in training next week? So he could possibly make it. If we go with a back 5 we could possibly get away with playing Lanzini or Fornals in the middle.

They've lost 4 of their last 5 games, we've won 4 of our last 5.

Onauchu is their main man. Interested to see him; I've watched him perhaps two or three times in european games and he's been pretty decent.

I'd expect at least five changes for us.

Making my first appearance at the Athletics Arena since November 2019.

We had a little blip before the break. We seem to be back in the groove.

2-0 win.

The most famous people to come out of Genk were Sigio XX, an 80's band.

They lost 2-0 at Charleroi today. The football team. Not Siglo XX.

Will not be close to our full strength side. We haven’t played full strength yet in the Europa and on paper this is our easiest fixture of the tournament. Thrown in fixture congestion and there will be some changes. I’m predicting:

………………………..Aerola……………………..

Johnson……Dawson…..Diop……Creswell

………………….Rice………Kral…………………..

Bowen……………Lanzini………………..Vlasic

…………………..Yarmolenko…………………….

Isn't Kral covid positive right now?
Also Bowen will need a rest. If he isn't knackered after Sundays game he bloody well should be by Thursday :winker:

He’s just had two weeks rest. He should be fine.

Not sure about Kral to be honest

Reason for me having Bowen start is Fornals and Benrahma were involved in internationals where Bowen had a solid week off so should be fresher.

The above line up probably won’t happen and arguably shouldn’t. However, I’m being greedy. I want our first eleven fully rested for Sunday.

I think the above line up (if fit) can beat Genk.
