First half he took an amazing touch from Rice's ball over the top, and played it to Bowen, before Van Dijk put in an excellent challenge, and second half, again, took down a long ball with another great touch and put a ball in but unfortunately Antonio was dawdling into the box and didn't provide an option (a theme of the game yesterday). He had TAA on toast.
Spot on, all of that.

Amazing what a run of games and confidence does for a player isn't it... :newthumb:

Impressed with Benny in the Liverpool game, I for one was a little critical of his workrate previously, but really stepped up in the last few games.

Funny how people see things. I wasn't even sure he was still on the pitch second half.

He beats players very easily doesn’t he. His family are always in the crowd too, with the normal punters, nice to see.

How nice was it to see him go to his Mum at the end of the game too? :newthumb: Lovely stuff. He’s a really humble guy that has never forgotten what others have done for him.

I agree from once Alexander Arnold got booked he was quiet, which I was surprised about as I thought we would capitalise on that. However, up until that point he was the one out of the front four who looked the most threatening.

Moyes was a little cagey about going into detail about the formation tweaks he made at half-time, but reading between the lines it sounded like Benrahma had more freedom to roam in the first half, then Fornals in the second.

Seemed to pay off. I thought Benrahma was outstanding first-half - our one outlet that really worked all half and some of his touches were superb - but Fornals broke past the Liverpool defence a number of times second half and ultimately that helped win us the game.

We have a very smart manager and support team and the players are pretty damn good too.
