Bowen has 2 assists and 1 goal in his last 5 League games. Benrhama has 1 goal and 1 assist in his last 11. The goal taking a wicked deflection to go in. And you’d drop Bowen before Benrahma!?

We're not going to beat these by attempting to play football. No way. That is why I advocate nullifying their threat, by lumping it up

I don't think we can bring back Cresswell until after Reece James' visit. James will run up and down his flank all game long and make a real mischief of himself on the overlap. I would keep Johnson there, but detail Fornals as his partner in negating that Chelsea threat.

Zouma can go toe to toe with Lukaku. Dawson is a solid enough defender to keep his place.

Coufal might sensibly have another defensive minded player ahead of him, perhaps Fredericks for this match.

We hunker down. We score on the break. One of Bowen, Fornals or Mike simply need to step up in this match.

I am undecided as to whether to go with Vlasic and have Ben on the bench.

Lanzini still needs to be a sub, imo, but can play from the start against Zagreb and Spurs in the cup.

Convenient ignoring of his 2 goals and all round superb performance against Genk.

As I said earlier none of the front four are pulling up trees over the last month - not in the league anyway - but Benrahma remains our number one creative outlet.

Without his individuality there doesn’t seem to be much else beyond set pieces.

Cresswell is a big loss in this respect and Lingard is looking more and more of a no brainer. I don’t think he’s necessarily great at creating for others but at least he can pick a spot past the keeper.

I have lost patience with Benrahma, think he needs time on the bench, not sure if Lanzini can do full 90 mins of what Moyes expects from the front players yet so Vlasic for me.

I would not play Masuaku ever again every time he plays he costs us a goal and we lose.

Need Bowen, Antonio and Fornals to start putting away any chance we might get no more near misses please.

We can bring on Benny and Lanzini for more creativity if needed.

I would genuinely think about resting Antonio for this game.

Bring in Vlasic for him and go false 9 with Bowen.

I like the idea of Antonio as a change the game sub for 30 minutes more than the idea of him playing within himself to try and get through the 90.

Was just about to post the same thing thing FJ - Agree on a False No.9, Antonio on the bench and smash it up 30 or so mins to go. Great minds all be it I am clearly better looking than you and without any doubt getting more sleep than you. :D

I think we will see a bounce back this weekend after a few average displays.

The draw would keep us 4th but more importantly would 2 rivals both dropping 2 points.

Also, cheering for Man U?

If you think we’re bad my Chelsea mate (56 year old season ticket holder) turned off last night and went to bed at half time “they were so ****”. They won 2-1.

Let’s not become them. PLEASE.

Watford had a real go at Chelsea last night and were unlucky to lose
We need to play with the same energy, not like we did in the home game last season

FWIW, this is the line-up that started when we beat them 3-2 back in 2020

Fab
Fred
Diop
Oggy
Cress
Rice
Soucek
Fornals
Bowen
Lanzini
Antonio

Of course, YArmo came on and got the winner
