Is it just me or does Chelsea's team not look as strong on paper as it has in recent seasons?
Not sure about that. I mean they had a lot of injuries in that Watford game. 4 completely out and a couple on the bench who are coming back.

Their 3 best midfielders didn't start the last game and their next 2 CM were Saul and Loftus-Cheek. I'd say squad wise they are as strong as they have been.

James, Kante, Jorginho and Lukaku are probably all back for our game. Kante has probably been saved for this. Put those 4 back into their side and it's as good as any on paper I think.

Does anyone else have an irrational dislike for Thomas Tuchel. He's the worst dressed man in football. He basically dresses in Chelsea-branded N-Dubz gear.

He probably reminds you a bit too much of Pulis Stevey. The cap, the tracksuit. That'll do it...

His fashion is more street than Pulis.

The thing is, they've not only got some great players, but they all work well within the system they've got. Their midfield of Jorginho, Kante and Mount is excellent, their centre backs all have enough skill, pace and movement that they don't look weak playing 3 at the back, and their wing backs effectively play as inside forwards. Add onto that the likes of Lukaku/Ziyech/Pulisic/Werner up front and their keeper being excellent.

Even more last words.....

Chelsea are due a spanking off someone or in the very least are due a loss

They've only conceded 6 goals in 14 games in the league, so a 2-0 win would constitute a spanking.

They don't sound particularly confident and think Zouma will handle Lukaku with ease. :nonpl:

COYI

At work so will miss this game live, which is a good omen ,for at least a draw.
We need to stay in touch and i m expecting something from this game. This was my first Everton game to see the hammers at the Boleyn , would love the same result as we nicked a 1-0 with a Morley winner against a 10 man blue's team.

They have also Qualified for the next round of their Euro tour, so we both don't have to worry about the mid week games, nothing to lose then ,expect a cracking tight game.

Sorry, can’t see beyond West Ham losing by two goals

That will include early yellows for a couple of ours, none for Chelsea until late in the game when too late to influence their players performances. And we’ll be penalised for no apparent reason at one of our attacking corners.

Haven't lost by 2 since January - and we beat that lot 3-2 next time up.

No Kante or Kovacic in midfield for them, and the possibility of Alonso - a man murdered for pace by Yarmolenko - at left back.

I imagine Herr Flick will stick Azpilicueta at LB in Chilwell's absence.

I wonder if we will match up? Moyes has started to mutter about players not being clinical enough, Might decide a clean sheet is the best way to three points as it means it only needs a set piece.

Oddball Fact - this fixture means we have played the five best defensive teams (based on goals conceded) in the country in our last five games
