What was Manu's beef with Reece James?

James mouthing off as he was taking the penalty. Manu gives it back when he scores with a small barge.

They hug it out a few minutes later.

Minimal hand bags.

James screamed at him just as he was making his run-up to the penalty in an attempt to put him off.

No idea how Lanzini knew he was the culprit, but I absolutely loved him barging into him before running off to celebrate.

Nice to see a penalty put away like that - it's been an achilles heel for us most of this year.

Thought he was excellent today. Kept everything ticking over. Suspect Benny might be back on the bench for a few more after this, no bad thing though as he also had an impact when he came on.

He’s scored 2 penalties out of 2 for the club now. Have we found a short term replacement for Noble?

Hopefully he’s okay. As I thought I read somewhere he was limping after the game. Can’t afford anymore injuries.

a fantastic player for us.
look at what he's contributed for the team down the seasons.
Looks like he's getting back to his best before that terrible injury, love him.

So good to see him start today, score a pen and give his all.

Benny was also brilliant coming off the bench.

Great call from Moyes and co

It feels like he’s starting to come to terms with the injury and has adjusted his game accordingly. A pleasure to watch and genuinely feel that the club is in his heart. After the disgusting booing of him a couple of years back it’s fantastic to see him have such an impact of late.

I fully agree. Always available to receive the ball, often in very tight areas, and create attacking opportunities. Often unfussy, but clever use of the ball.

He has a real talent that nobody else at the club can match in that if he receives the ball, no matter how tight or how many men on him, he’ll keep hold of it. It’s a shame the injury has taken his turn of pace away but I actually think he can be a better deep lying CM than he was an AMC. It makes the 5 at the back so much more effective with 3 CMs

A poetry in motion footballer.
If you don't like watching Lanzini you don't like football.

People seem to miss the way he collects the ball on the half turn, plays little 15 yard passes that bypass the opposition midfield and accepts the ball however closely he's marked.

Said it before and I'll say it again, plsy him deepnmidfoeld and let him be our cross between Modric and Kovacic.

That penalty take will shut anyone up by itself. No one was saving that.

Just wondering what the commentators on my stream would have made of his goal if it had been Ronaldo scoring it.
