Just ordered my first ever gaming laptop

My Mac finally died after 10 years so needed a laptop .. and I can't get hold of a ps5 so thought why not treat myself

Asus

AMD Ryzen 5 Processor
15.6 in Screen Size , 1920 x 1080 (144hz)
8 GB RAM , 512 GB SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU
Windows 10 Home

Ordered extra 8 ram off Amazon plus 1tb second SSD as it has space for 2.. so now 16gb ram and 1.5tb storage

Ordered GTA 5 .. and Xbox ultimate game pass to play on it

Looks nice mumbles. The only issue I'd have is using a sub 16" screen again after getting used to 27"+ monitors in recent years!

I was sorting the attic out recently when I found a receipt from Simply Computers for a computer I purchased from them. The spec was Pentium processor, 1GB hard drive 4mb Matrox Mystique graphics card and a 3 1/2 inch floppy drive. Can't remember how much ram was in there. It cost over £1,100.00. In those days you could go back to game and get a refund if your game would not run. I wanted to play Flight Unlimited because the graphics were so good.

I can imagine that would be an adjustment!!

I'm used to gaming on a console so 50 inch TV but sit much closer to the laptop so my eyes seem to cope (ATM anyways)

Enjoying GTA 5 for a 3rd time

A brand spanking new MacBook Pro M1Max with 32GB of RAM. Even when I have to run WIndows inside Parallels, it's still a mighty fine piece of kit.
