A badly bruised back has kept him out for a month? OK. Fair enough. This is starting to.look like Billy Bonds' poisoned toe, forcing him to sit out an entire season

Bowen and Antonio…the two players that looked shot to pieces recently given an extended rest via COVID

Meanwhile, the allegedly recently 'covid-hit' Spurs are at virtual full strength and have Kane available, who should be serving a 3-match suspension but for some atrocious reffing.

After this, we've then got southampton and watford - 2 league games we should normally be winning, but unknown whether we're going to have many players for.

Utter farcical.
The stars are aligning...
We're going to win this 5-1...

I think we'll sneak through on penalties thanks to our man of the match:

Historically, we are far more likely to win a game that we should definitely lose than we are to win a game that we should win easily...
We'll smash this lot tonight... COYI..!!!

Don't under estimate the debilitating effect of bad bruising on sensitive areas! It is basically ruptured blood vessels and if they are in the disk/lower back area I can understand how they could lay you out for a while.

I once bruised my coccyx when I failed to stay on my motorbike after driving it into the back of a stationary car. It was the funniest low speed accident you could ever see. I could barely walk for a week or so, running would have been another week or two away if I was inclined. Which I wasn't.

Didn't Norwich get their game called off due to combined covid and injury?

It almost makes a mockery of competition but there we are. Put out the strongest possible side and see what we can do.

Areola, Johnson, Diop, Dawson, Cresswell, Noble, Soucek, Vlasic, Lanzini, Masuaku, Yarmolenko

Have faith, fellow Hammers.
A fair point.

Although with Yarmy up top again we'd need another win on penalities as we won't be scoring.

EDIT: I see Ex is reporting he believes we are only missing one 'key' player through this, so worse case hopefully it's only one of Antonio or Bowen.

I look forward to Yarmo’s hang dog down in the dumps look as yet another backheel pass ( instead of the obvious simple alternative ) seeks out a grateful Filthite

Ex has reported Dawson was also a fitness concern just now on his Patreon. He did however say Ben Johnson was surprisingly pushing for a return though. And we will be reverting to a back 5 for tonight. There’s apparently 4 changes from the team that faced the Gooners.

Hopefully Bowen is just a knock and play over Xmas.

Wonder if Fredericks is available and we can have Masuaku and him at WB.

The team is up on Ex’s Patreon now. If it’s true it’s better than I anticipated! Bad news on Antonio, good news on Bowen. 1 player is back from injury sooner than anticipated and a 2nd start for one of the youngsters that started against Dinamo Zagreb.
