Lovely balls.

So what is going on with him?

I was led to believe that he had fitness tests for both Chelsea and Burnley a couple of weeks ago but now it sounds as if Moyes is saying he will be out for a while?

To me it just looked like a bump against the post and a bruised back doesn’t take over a month to recover from which worryingly suggests to me that there is more than meets the eye.

The sooner we have him back the better! :hammc:

we need cress back asap as we have no cover for him. masuaka cant play there. maybe give longello a few sessions with the first team squad and maybe moyes will see something in him and play him a bit.

we are well covered at RB coufal johnson ashby and fredericks

LB cresswell then a RB covering longello masuaka

need a LB in the window if longello is not ready

He must be the only player I know to be ‘almost ready’ and still not be available for the next game.

One day, one glorious day, he’ll be ready!

Wonder if he bruised or lacerated his liver or something in the collision?

If this is true it amazes me it takes 4 weeks for a diagnosis.
Surely a key player smashes his back into the post, he has a lot of pain. You do an x-ray shirley?

FFS, classic West Ham. His fitness update for the last month has been 'hopefully fit for the next game'.

I did suspect there must be something more untoward in the injury because you surely wouldn't be out for that long with just a bruised back.

I appreciate it may be hard to predict but there is a big difference between 6 weeks and 12.

Hope it's not like my elbow, the chip is still floating around 3 years later!

Heroic off the line clearance but Mick owes him a few bob as it was his pass that caused that unnecessary break up in the snow.

I thought his time was up but credit to him and to the coaching staff for his renaissance. He's played 268 games for us now, placing him in the same appearance bracket as Pop Robson, Lomas, Tomkins, Sissons, Keen etc.

Another season and he's pushing on Breaker, Bruno and Sir Carlton.
