Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
People just fall out sometimes and I don’t think that should be looked into too deeply.
If Moyes thinks he’s good enough to make us better then that’ll do me. But if Moyes has any questions about his ability or personality and decides he doesn’t want him then I’m fine with that too.
Saying that, I don’t think we’ll sign him though.

The good thing is, at that age, he prefers to be paid in Werther's Original.I am Legend wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 11:08 pm Digne's character isn't a issue for me. I'd love us to sign him
The only problem is he is 41 soon..

Yeah, wasn't/isn't much fun. Hopefully West Ham have better medical practitioners than we did back then.

Moyes is right to want to know what happened with them and make a decision if he thinks his attitude is acceptable and worth the money.HammerAl wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 11:09 pm People just fall out sometimes and I don’t think that should be looked into too deeply.

Think we all respect his call.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Just wondering if there might be the possibility of letting kral go and having coventry as our fourth central midfielder is possible or signing areola and/or kral now and freeing up our two loan places?
Randolph and martin are not getting games either and with anang back could he be third choice and we move those two on along with others like fredericks and yarmolenko?
We really need to think about who we can shift as well as who we can bring in. And who we can use from the kids.
If any of these players whether young or old are never going to get a game then we should look at selling them, not just pointlessly sticking them out on loan or them at best being on the bench.

It's two domestic loans, infinite foreign loans. Kral and Areola aren't taking up any space really.kitthehammer wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 11:35 pm Just wondering if there might be the possibility of letting kral go and having coventry as our fourth central midfielder is possible or signing areola and/or kral now and freeing up our two loan places?

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
If the Digne talk is all fantastical media drivel, I'd prefer we go back to talking about CB or striker fantastical media drivel. Those still remain our biggest weak spots.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
There has been zero CB media drivel to discuss for the last 6 days.
All surprisingly quiet on the CB front which would lead you to beleive that we are waiting on someone/something to materialise/come to fruition in the next 24 days.

Well...
I'd take him until the end of the season. (He says without having seen him play in a few years. He was the boss for a while though)

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Benitez has always been a bit abrasive. He last five minutes in Madrid because he fell out with half the squad, the same squad that won 3 CL’s in a row pretty much.
I don’t think we’ll sign Digne now that I know how much wedge he’s on but honestly him falling out with Benitez is a plus point if anything.

Belongs in the optimism thread.Puff Daddy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 6:48 pm I've just looked at our remaining home fixtures. Kinnell, we couldn't have an easier run in if we had hand picked them. We should collect another 24 points from our remaining 10 home matches alone. The only questionable ones are:-
Arsenal
Man City
.. we should win all the others
And even the aways are hardly the most difficult I'm expecting at least 4 on the road too, so anyone wanting Champions League football to join us, we should be able to offer them that
It's such a relief to know we have our difficult home games out of the way: like those famous title-stopping banana skins such as Southampton, Brighton, Palace and Man Utd.

I'd take Diego Godin until the end of the season, aged 35 he's just a couple of years younger than Digne.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Falling out with the manager sounds intrinsically bad. But what if the manager was someone like Avram Grant who slept instead of managing. Or Sam who pushed his agent onto you. Or Alan Pardew who... Well you know the rest. Or what if you had a Carlos Sanchez or Patrice Evra who didn't kick up a fuss but also hardly kicked a ball either. At least Digne wants to do well.

Multiple outlets now. Plus Ex and Fabrizio Romano. Standard and Mail are the two I remember.

That would leave us with Dawson
Edit: apparently were asking for £20m meaning were actually looking to sell.

The thing about Newcastle is... It's in Newcastle.
That's a pittance anyways to anyone outside of the club Diop is a beast and worth £60m of anyone's ill gotten gains.
