BTW, aged 29 what a waste of a precious year of professional football when you are at your peak and after a fantastic loan with us!

Not being funny but of course he has to come on to be cup tied.kenthammer wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 8:04 pm As AGM asked earlier, does being on the bench cuptie a player or does he physically have to play
As soon as you set foot on the pitch for one club in the Cup, that’s it.
I thought only poor old Manny Omoyinmi didn’t know that rule and that was back in the mid 90s.

To be honest I thought he could have been cup tied as well because he was on the bench - but I must admit I don’t study the rule books.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Sorry, not just Manny.
Didn’t we also have a chief executive who basically had to resign after that whole affair - can’t remember if it was Paul Aldridge or Graham Mackerell who had to carry the can for not checking the admin?
Honestly think we would’ve won the League Cup that season, still annoys me even now.

Only heard of Ekitike an hour ago but I’ll riot if we don’t sign him

We're one of the clubs that are being linked to Lee Buchanan at Derby. A PL club has bid but the offer is 'ridiculous' according to Rooney.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Lingard coming on tonight is just another (small) reason why I don’t think he’ll be coming back this month.

I think his reluctance to decide his future is also hampering us, Moyes wants him and is possibly waiting for him to make up his mind.
Look elsewhere Moyes.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
It’s not Lingard’s decision though. He’s under contract and Man U seem to be bloody mindedly occasionally using him as they see fit, not caring if there’s no real sell on value, now or in the Summer.
They might sell him to us after we play them. I think it’s more likely he will stay with them and see the contract out until the Summer.
Personally I can’t say I’m fussed either way. Lanzini back to his best, Benny improved, Vlasic starting to get going, Fornals and Bowen purring. He will improve any team he joins, but I don’t think he will have the impact that he did when he last joined us.
I still think the best thing about him joining us again, is that I think it keeps Declan happy to have his buddy back.

That's exactly what I think.Boleyn_Hammer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 12:40 pm It’s a forum mate ...
Not everyone has the same opinion which is kind of the idea of a forum, would be pretty **** if everyone came on here with the same opinion.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Agree completely on both points. He’s the extra bit of quality we’d need in the Europa League knock out games but I also wouldn’t expect him to start playing like a man possessed and absolutely rip up the Prem like last time.Ethanadict wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 10:41 pm Personally I can’t say I’m fussed either way. It was Graham Mackrell, the only official to be charged in the aftermath of Hillsborough. Connected with Leppings Lane safety certificate expiring.Roby wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 8:43 pm Sorry, not just Manny.

A secretary also resigned, Irish name, Alison O'Dowd rings a bell, can' t recall.
