Aaron Cresswell

Post by backhouse21 »

Is he alright? He's now missed 10 games and still no word on how he's doing. Hopefully it's nothing too serious. I assumed it was just a bit of bruising from smashing the post that might see him miss a couple of weeks, but it seems like it's a lot more than that.

Supposedly chipped a bone in his back.

Ouch, potential season ender I guess. A little odd that nobody's talking about him though. At all.

A bit of a surprise this. He took a bit of clattering into that post, but at the time, it didn't look that bad that it should've sidelined him for this long

Typical West Ham where they say a player will be back in a few games that turns into much longer period.

I thought he'd injured some internal organs, don't know if that's worse or better than a chipped bone in the back

Moyes wasn't going to go public with the full extent of the injury with a window opening up. Especially if he's considering chasing a left back.

Personally I think it's more to do with stopping all the leaks coming from the club rather than anything tactical to do with the transfer window, Moyes have talked about the leaks several times

Fan information has always been shocking at this club so this is no surprise to me.To be honest Sully was probably the best informant we have ever had with some of his tripe

I’m fine about the club keeping tight-lipped about player’s injuries: keep the opposition guessing. In any case medicine is not an exact science and estimated return times can wax and wane.

If it’s a chipped bone - likely a spinous or transverse process from the injury mechanism - the fracture healing time is typically 6 weeks. Add a couple of weeks to get close to match fitness.

He was fantastic tonight.

I sat in a different seat to usual tonight and was right near the front on his side first half and his one touch passing in little triangles just makes us so more fluid as a team.

He is so underrated, great left back who has served us very well. Dodgy spell when Pellers was in charge but Moyes coming back has really helped Cresswell regain his best form.

That was a superb performance. Didn't have a lot of defending to do but the energy, passing and crossing all top rate.
